My 2 week old baby girl loves her thumbs/fingers. She even tries to nurse/take a bottle with her fingers. We have been giving a binki to distract her!

@autumnlove: HAHAH so cute. My LO went through a thumb sucking stage, but it didn't last long. I thought it was the cutest thing. Sometimes I wish she would suck her thumb and soothe herself back to sleep!

@autumnlove: That's so adorable!
LO is 9.5 months old and sucks only her left thumb. She sucks it as she's falling asleep or when she's upset.

@Rubies: My LO lucks her left thumb too, everyone saying it's because she's a lefty. Have you heard that?
She holds her thumb in her mouth with her right hand so both hands are up to her face

@artbee: When LO has her left thumb in her mouth, she hooks her right hand into her left sleeve! It's so cute. If she's wearing a short sleeve onesie then her right arm is just draped over her face.

@Rubies: So sweet I'm going to miss thumb sucking. Although I do hope it doesn't go on too long.... my BIL sucked his thumb through middle school.

LO sucks her thumb. She prefers her left but we went through a period where she couldn't suck her left because of a possible infection under the nail so we would put a sock on her hand at night and tell her to switch if she started sucking it during the day. Now she will suck on either but still prefers the left.

@rubies: CUTE!!
No, my son never sucked on his thumb. He wasn't that attached to the pacifier either. He used it for a little while during his infant stage but removed it once and he didn't have a problem.
