Can't decide on a start time for DS's first birthday party. It will be mostly family (held at my sister's house, 30 mins away) and some close friends. Casual BBQ.

My son naps 2-3 in the afternoon. My sister's kids are on one nap 12-2. Our friends' kids are on 1 nap (mostly) from like 12-2/1-3. I guess we could have it at 3, but my son goes to bed at 7:30 and the party is 30 mins away.

I don't know when to have it so I haven't sent out invites and it's a month away! I feel like no matter what time we have it, some ppl won't be able to make it or will think it is inconvenient.

I don't know why, but my husband is anti late day (3 p.m.) party. I feel like that might be the best time, though. We'll just go over to my sister's earlier and my son can nap there before the party starts (hopefully) and we'll bring his jammies for the car ride home.

What would you do?
