instead of using dish washing liquid try this, since i just read the comments and someone who is a "professional carpet cleaner" said dish washing liquid may turn your carpet brown over time because of the PH

pour peroxide on the area and let it to sit until the bubbles have slowed.you may have to do this a few times.

Then pour a small amount of hot hot water over the stain.
Allow it to cool.
place a clean dry towel over the stained area.
then iron over the towel repeatedly until the stain is removed.
If you have plywood flooring...be careful not to saturate your floor,this could ruin it.
Repeat the entire process until the stain is gone... i know..hard work....but it works like a charm.Oh...and be careful not to burn yourself...LOL.(wink)

I got red paint out of our rug (for the most part..) with shaving cream. Some people recommended that on facebook..so I shook it up, put some on the spot, and scrubbed with a white facecloth. Then I went over it with our carpet steamer.

The ones I got to quickly came out pretty well! There are still some light pawprints though.
