I think 5 is ok if isn't diarrhea!

@Running Elley: Oh no! Blackberries are really high in fiber and may have a laxative effect. I think you should see if he has more diarrhea and call the dr if it continues!

@Running Elley: If the poop slows down I would just avoid the berries and bring it up in 2 weeks...I think if the reaction hasn't been worse at this point, it won't get worse from here on out if there are no new berries given to him.

I think he may be a littke sensitive but agree with hilsy...And that many poops in one day would definitely cause irritation!

My nephew gets diaper rash when he eats a lot of strawberries but he isn't allergic to them. For some reason they just give him the rash on the privates. My SIL just doesn't give them to him very often. His ped said his case was no big deal.

Eating too many food high in fiber can sometimes cause runny poops. So long as he isn't breaking out in hives or looking like he's having trouble breathing, you're probably ok just asking his doctor about it at the next apt and limiting his consumption of them in the mean time.
