Please tell me I'm not the only one to go to the OBGYN to make sure I didn't forget a tampon....

Haha...I woke up in the middle of the night and freaked out over this once, but I've never been to the doctor for it. And they've never found any stray tampons at appointments, so I guess I'm okay.

Like I think I left one in there! DH and I checked lol TSS freaks me out!

I'm paranoid about TSS so I never wear one more than four hours! And I sleep in pads. So I wouldn't ever forget one.

Oh lord! No, never. If there was no string, and DH didn't see one i'm almost positive there isn't one there

I've never had to go for this, but my mom had a friend that did forget, for months! It's no joke!

I cant use tampons for this very reason.

A college roommate tried to put a tampon in when there was already one in! She may have been drunk, not sure, LOL.

@luckypenny: glad to hear it! But out of curiosity, if you fished around up there lol wouldn't you be able to tell? I mean I've never had a reason to, but now I'm wondering if it ever came down to it if I would know!

Doc said if you look and don't see one chances are its not there

I left one in for a week, discovered it myself, then got an infection so I went to the doctor for that.

@Alivoo01: Yep! She forgot there was one there and so put another one up and it lodged really high. She finally went to the doctor with really bad cramps.

I almost did this last month. I've never come close to forgetting before, but I just can't remember anything since having a kid. I took a shower, went to bed, then got up to pee in the middle of the night and saw the string. I never go to bed with a tampon, so it totally freaked me out that it had been in since that morning and I had completely forgotten about it. I almost could't get myself to use them this month.

I'm always paranoid about this, too! I had some really weird cramps at the end of my last period and I was convinced something like this was happening (it wasn't).
