I'm really into the TX wines lately and I seem to like a nice Tempranillo with dinner or after the kids go to bed.
ETA: The most expensive wine we drink is usually $15

Selbach reisling is my personal favorite, but not always the easiest to find. I also love an old vine zin for reds.
Many nights I'm perfectly happy with Beringer white zin, I usually have an open bottle in my fridge since it's so cheap.

@lemondrop: thank you for responding, my friend
I can't do any whites after I had Cora (they give me migraines within an hour of drinking them), so I have to stick with reds. I do miss a nice light white in the summer months and your comment made me drool LOL
Isn't it funny how having a kid changes weird things?

I'm having Jacob's Creek Shiraz tonight...cheap and easy!

Big fan of Apothic Red and Estancia Pinot Noir! I'm pregnant now but I stare at those bottles on my counter everyday and can't wait until I can have a glass

@MrsSCB: @mrschickpea: I remember I stared at my wine every day until I hit my 3rd trimester and then I could *finally* have a glass.... and then I had 2 sips and couldn't stand the taste LOL. But it was much better after my LO was born

@BabyBoecksMom: literally the day after I found out I was pregnant, one of our vendors gave me a bottle of really nice Cabernet for Christmas. Bad timing, haha. It's waiting for me on our counter!

I started a thread like this over the summer and got some great recos!

My go-to is a New Zealand Sauvignon blanc. Ao refreshing!

Any Savy B from New Zealand. And any Pinot Noir with a buttery after taste. I'm clearly a connoisseur

@BabyBoecksMom: I'd love some Texas wine recs! We finally got our wine rack hung in the kitchen and are in the process of stocking up.
I'm sipping a Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley tonight. It's pretty good!

Are we just talking wine? If so, Pinot Noir all the way, its pretty much all I drink.
But my favourite "whine-down" drink after my son goes to bed is an ice cold beer, or a gin & tonic in the summer. mmmmm...

I love:
Kirkland Signature Sonoma Valley chardonnay
Chateau St. Michelle Pinot Grigio
Almost any Rose`
Apothic Red
14 Hands Red Blend

Our go-to is pretty much any French Pinot Noir. You can find under $15 bottles of it in the US.

@Charm54: I bought a bottle of it the day before I found out I was pregnant with M, and was so upset I couldn't drink it haha! So I made sure to have one in the fridge for M's birth- day. It was delicious after a 9 month wait!
I'll drink any sweet wine, and I'm learning to like red wine- that's all my husband drinks and he's always annoyed that I won't have a glass with him! I think the heavy reds taste like feet so I'm trying to work up to liking if!

Another vote for Apothic Red! Great all around table wine. For light, refreshing reds, any Oregon pinot noir will do! For dark, rich reds, try Apothic Dark, and Carnivore Cabernet!
I miss wine, I'm in new years slim down mode, so no alcohol

My go too are a couple different Nebraska wineries ($12-15 a bottle), but my cheap, keep a bottle in the fridge is Barefoot Moscato (pink or regular) it's like $5 (for the win) and it's nice and sweet!

It depends on the season.
My favorite whites are Kim Crawford Sav Blanc but Sokol Blosser Evolution - but that the second one can be hard to find (I used to belong to their wine club and got it that way).
My favorite cheap red is Apothic Red. I like pinot noir, super tuscans, shiraz.

@Mrs. Pickle: It's hard to get TX wine without going all the way to the Hill Country and buying directly from the wineries (we go yearly to stock up ), but I know HEB is starting to carry a few TX wines, like Becker and Perdenales. I really like just about anything from Grape Creek, but they're not sold in stores yet.
@Mrs. Microscope: Oh you are so focused! How long do you go without alcohol for that?
@Rainbow Sprinkles: I love the Chateau St. Michelle whites, but I get migraines from them after having Cora - I miss them so much!

Our favorite lately is Joel Gott Cabernet. And do have to agree that the Costco Kirkland brand wines are actually pretty good.
I'm hit or miss on Apothic Red. Sometimes I've had it and really liked it and others it's not good. I think it depends on what we had for dinner or what I drank before that.

Bogle Essential Red Blend - Costco, $8.50
Mark West Pinot Noir - Anywhere, around $10
Black Mountain Fat Cat Cabernet - Trader Joe's $5.99
We also like Old Vine Garnachas - Spanish wines are usually pretty cheap and very good. Garnacha tends to be a little higher in booze content among reds, but the old vine vintages tend to be smoother and jammier. My favorite is Tres Ojos, but its become incredibly hard to find! We can usually find ones we like in the $10-12 range.

any & all French wine! I love bordeaux, cotes du rhone, and sancerre. no idea about brands bc there is a local wine store walking distance from our house that specializes in wines from small, up-and-coming family-owned wineries. however, because of that, I can confirm that you can fit at least 12 bottles of wine in the basket of the UppaBaby Vista!

I love gruner vetliner, anything Montes (the make a great cab blend). My husband likes cheap cabs; he's traveling for work so I get to choose the wines!!!
Ok I'm looking at my vivino app now (by the way great wine app. For when you say omg I love this wine I need to buy it again. Just scan the label!)
H&B languedoc white
Guillaman cotes du Gascogne blanc
Wyatt cab
Coppola rosso
Mark west Chardonnay

I'm also into Malbec lately though the past few months more into beer (ipa) over wine.
My all time favorite affordable wine is Jlohr Cabernet.

Apothic dark, Joel gott 815 and silver Palm...I can usually get apothic for $8 and stock up...the other two I can usually get in the $12 range.
God I can't wait to drink again!!!

Oh and I'm not a big white person but in the summer barefoot refresh is amazing and $5 a bottle!
