You are rockstars! I am traveling for the second time for work and I can't tell you how much I despise business travel and pumping! I don't know how you do this on a regular basis.

I only had two work trips while I pumped. I forgot my pump parts on the first trip and got a clogged duct on the second. Hats off to the traveling mamas!

I'm about to board a plane in a couple minutes and I'm feeling very down. I don't want to go! I pumped on the way to the airport do I could send one more bottle home with DH... Sucks.
I'm just looking forward to getting home on Thursday morning.

I agree I only has a few work trips while pumping and I think only two that involved flights. It's tough for sure but totally worth it!

@CORDUROY - oh my goodness, those sound like some rough trips!!
@PURPLEPEONY - I'm so sorry to hear that - I'm totally there with you. I felt like such a downer before this trip - I just kept saying to DH 'I don't want to go!'. I'm on the plane right now and I just left the bathroom where I pumped and came out to find a huge line of unhappy people.
Oh well! I'm also sad because this is the first time that I won't have enough breast milk for LO (15 mo). I know I've been so lucky for him to have been fed on demand this long, but it was still a rotten feeling. I hope your work trip isn't too long! @T.H.O.U. - you are right, it is totally worth it!

@Corduroy: I forgot my parts on my first work trip too! It was a horrible experience.
@Dagny: I had to go on two 3 day trips while I was breastfeeding and I swear that both really inhibited my flow later on. I will do my best to avoid traveling while breastfeeding next time! -
Agreed. I only had to do it once and it was rough.

Amen! My first trip I got a clogged duct. My second trip I had a delayed flight and had to pump in an airport bathroom. And most recently I traveled abroad and discovered my pump wouldn't work in Europe with the AC adapter! Thank goodness the front desk at my hotel had a dictionary so I could explain "battery" to them and they sold them there.
I'm just looking forward to getting home on Thursday morning.
