I voted at 7am this morning when the polls opened. My first ever election since I became a citizen.

I'm ashamed to say I dropped the ball on getting my absentee ballot sorted in time And my home state has a very tight gubernatorial race with one very, very scary candidate. I will be kicking myself if he wins...

@wheres_c: Congrats!
I'll vote after work. My polling place is just down the street from my house

I'm skipping this year because I just moved to this state and I haven't researched any of the candidates. If I were to vote, I would have done early voting.

I wish! My voter registration is messed up from living overseas and I didn't know about the issue soon enough to correct it in time to vote.

Voting after work. DH went before work so he could pick up the girls for me.
If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't vote. He keeps trying to hammer it into me how important voting/elections are.

Voting after work if LO is in a good mood, otherwise I'll go vote after DH gets home and while dinner cooks.

I'm going after work. I'm now wishing I went before work, but that somehow did not occur to me....haha I just hope it occurred to everyone else so it's not super crowded!

I'm not voting. I haven't done enough research on the Senate/House candidates to make an informed decision. And as for our governor's race, I don't like our current governor, but I don't trust his opponent, so I can't really confidently vote for either. I don't feel good about it, but I wouldn't feel good about voting without being sure about it.

Just moved cross country and didn't get my voter registration in order in time to vote
I'm totally upset I didn't get to vote - I know who I would vote for here. But I will make sure it's in order before the next election!

I can't get out of the house which is a shame (and really not a valid excuse) because our senator race is so so close. Also I met the candidate I would have been voting for at a speech/meeting and it was a nice experience! I've never been so involved in an election before.

In my county, we don't have polling stations and it's all done by mail. (For the presidential election, they'll have polling stations, I think.) I meant to grab my voting documents before I left for work but I forgot. I'm hoping I can get home and mark off my choices before the 8pm drop off deadline.

We vote by drop-off or mail here in Oregon. My DH dropped our ballots off today! We have measure 92 (for labeling GMOs), and a measure for legalizing marijuana on the ballot this year. It's a big year for our state, and I'm excited to see what the turnout was like.

We have one car and my husband is using it all day (left early and is coming home late). He'll be getting home about an hour before the polls close, so I could rush out and vote if I was so inclined, but I am choosing not to because I am still new to the state and haven't researched the candidates. I would rather not vote than make an uninformed vote.

I voted after work...I voted for someone who may or may not end up being my boss come Jan! (I'm a state employee...)

I feel like super mom today because I raced home after work, stopped in to my polling place with LO and voted, threw together some dinner for her while I waited for a babysitter to come over, and then raced back to work for an event we have tonight from 6-8 pm. I have an hour commute both ways so I will have been in my car almost 4 hours by the end of today, plus worked 10 hours AND made dinner in the 20 minutes I was home.
Anyway...I'm just proud that I stuck with my convictions that voting is important. I was super pressed for time, but I made myself still go and do it. Phew.

LO and I voted after work! After we voted, she said: more! More voting!!

There was no line at all after work, yay! My first time voting in person rather than absentee

@loveisstrange: my state has same day registration. It's actually on the ballot to get rid of it! But examples like that is why we need it.

I voted by mail. There's a big local measure that was important to me to vote on, more even than statewide ones.
