Can your mom take him places like a children's museum or library story time?

Sometimes (like right now) we just turn on music and dance around.

DS is 17 months. We do a lot of playing outside (him digging in the dirt, going down the slide, etc). We take walks to the park. We also do storytimes 2 days a week in the mornings.

If we're at home playing inside he has puzzles that we do, we read books and we do a lot of random activities. We do finger painting, color and do a bunch of sensory activities. I just search them on Pinterest and come up with lots of ideas!

we just get out as much as we possibly can no matter how cold. and olive does pretty much everything charlie does because she has no choice. but she got to experience a lot more than charlie at a younger age so it was good for her!

it's tough when they're on two naps though to do big things like going to the museum, which we do a couple times a month. you could look into local sing-a-longs and activities like that. they are usually cheap or free and a good way to kill an hour!

I would say outside time? Just a walk or just checking out things together in the neighborhood would be cool.

And play dates if you have kids in the neighborhood.

With our daycare they do arts and crafts (drawing) every day which I love. Daycare even does hand prints but that gets messy so I don't know if your mom is up for it. Sidewalk chalk is a huge hit when we were closer to 2.

Other than that, singing and dancing? And start talking/teaching about colors? shapes?

We're down to one nap now so our play times are between 8.30 (when we arrive at L's house) and 11am (lunch). Nap is from about 11.30 to 2.30 (or at least that's the plan, we're not quite there yet) then we have snack and more play. Both girls (16 and 14 months) do really well playing with the toys but we doa lot of reading and some singing too. It helps they have each other and a dog to play with but they never seem.bored. We go to a drop-in playgroup a few times a week too. I think when it warms up a bit nd you can get him outside a bit more it will make a huge difference. Oh, we go to the aquarium too, especially if I'm feeling off colour as they still get lots of stimulation but I don't need to run after them I think their favourite thing to do is the drop-in. Do you have anything like that near you?
