We're headed back overseas in December and we're going to be in a very cold area. I'm trying to find all the best gear on a serious budget, and I'd love some recommendations.
Those of you who live in cold climates, what are your favorite budget sleep sacks, long underwear, toddler boots, etc? I want to get some rain boots with warm boot socks too, so any recommendations would be great!
And if anyone has stuff for sale in 2T let me know.

For basics like socks and base layers, anything on sale! I found a few active tops on clearance at H&M and a local sports outlet. Just keep in mind that polyester and wool works best for base layers when your toddler is very active and it's cold outside. Cotton will absorb moisture and although they seem cozy with a thick jacket or snowsuit, the sweat accumulates on cotton and will keep them cold from inside.
As for toddler boots, I'm still trying to figure out what's best. So far I really like Tretorn Robust Heritage for fall/early spring. They fit her so well, I'm thinking about getting her the Winter version. But I suggest to just stock up on sales because they outgrow them all so quick anyway, they'll likely fit for one season.

As for my favorite brands: I stick with old cold weather brands from the Nordic countries (plus I live here, so it's easy to find on sale if I wait in between seasons).
I 
Reima, Polarn o.Pyret, Didriksons, and Lindex for outerwear. I really like Tretorn for boots, they fit my chubby LO's foot well (they live at daycare) and hate Viking boots. But I've noticed that a lot of good quality boots will do, so whatever fits well (insulated and waterproof) and is on sale works.

Not really for kids, but Under Armor cold gear is THE SHIT. At least for adults. They may not sell 2T.

Check out consignment shops/sales is my suggestion. I got 2 fleece Halo sleepsacks for $1.50 each last week at a consignment shop. and picked up snow boots, a snow suit, and snow coveralls for a total of $15 at a consignment sale just a few days prior. All were in near-new condition! It is more about the material than the brand for me.

Stonz boots are awesome...they are soft soled and can be worn over socks, barefoot, slippers, shoes, or their super warm liners that they sell. They are easy to put on and actually stay on!!

Unfortunately I currently live in FL so consignment stores here don't really carry cold weather gear. I have to do all my shopping online.

@Arden: Depending on where you're moving to, it might be easier to find secondhand items there. For instance, I've noticed a lot of people practically give away items on EbayUK if you're willing to pick them up.
