Why are they so short? I bought a few shorts and they are so short on my DD! I noticed her undies several times at the playground today. And her butt cheeks a couple times too! The inseam on these shorts are less than an inch. Plus, it doesn't help that her thighs are chubby and they always ride up. The ones she was wearing where from Carter's. Any recs for toddler shorts with longer inseams? She has bermuda shorts, but those will be too long/hot in a month or so for her to wear to the playground.

Yes! I was just complaining to my sister about this today. ON and Boden skorts are good, but my LO won't hardly wear them.

The Cherokee brand shorts from Target are pretty long. I also like the Circo shorts there too.

Thank you!! One of the shorts she wore today were from Old Navy but they totally showed her undies. I have a skort from them that I haven't tried yet. I'll check out Target too!

Jumping Beans from kohls in the longer length. I'm not sure if they are named Bermuda. I also like the bike shorts from Childrens place.

This drives me NUTS! My 3.5 year old DD's shorts are the shorter than my 16 month old DS's! I usually just buy boys shorts that don't look too "boyish".

Buy boys shorts. The same size in boys has INCHES more in the inseams. It's ridiculous.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: I don't know if you sew at all, but Oliver & S has a great free (and easy) pattern called the Sunny Days Shorts that are nice and long. It's a unisex pattern but I love the two pairs I've made H.

Gap makes great Bermuda length Jean shorts in the toddler section.

@HappyBaker: @erinpye: Definitely ridiculous! I'll check out boy shorts and see if I like them for DD. Boy clothes are cut so much longer/looser than girls, crazy!

We found some at Joe Fresh last summer that are bermuda length (in the girls section) and grabbed a few pairs in a couple of sizes. I like them not only for modesty, but also because at the playground they're crawling around on the ground and it's just a little extra protection!!

My LO can wear 3t or 4t so I bought 4t shorts for the summer so they are longer on her. I hate when they are too short. She has bigger thighs too but we have some from Target (those she still needed the 3t) and ON (4t) that are long enough.

We have several pairs of Circo shorts and we've never had problems with panties showing. If LO has chubby legs, consider going up a size.

Boy shorts! Just size down BC they run big IMO. (My almost 4 year old can still fit in his shorts that are size 18 months to 2t). They fit normally,not to tight or baggy or super long, which I prefer for how they look

Tea makes shorts that are the perfect length. I also recently found Boden's shorts - the ones that are like terry cloth? They're great. And Lands End. The most modest of all clothing companies. I've gotten skirts from there I am very happy with.
