My 2.5 year old has been saying she's lonely in her room at night, and it takes FOREVER to get her to sleep. She cries and pouts and I feel so bad for her, but I know better than to start laying down with her to get her to go to bed.
We've tried letting her fall asleep in our room (while we aren't in there) and that helped for a few days, but she's lonely in there now too. She even woke in the middle of the night saying she is lonely and my husband had to sleep in her bed with her until morning.
Has anyone ever dealt with a lonely toddler at bedtime? Help! I makes me so sad that she's lonely (I hate falling asleep alone too), but don't want her in bed with us as I'm pregnant and the baby will have to be in our room.
