We've been long contemplating moving LO to a new room. Our biggest hang up is how to keep him out of the closet, which has sliding doors (google image search photo attached, same concept except our closet is much messier!)

What's your concern? We have sliding closet doors in all rooms (except DD1) and it's never been an issue as long as we close the doors.

@regberadaisy: him opening the doors. Right now the room is a guest room and that's our overflow closet, so we don't want him in it at all. He'd be able to open them (we have the same doors in our bedroom and he does it all the time).

If you don't need to access the closet at all, could you just put a bar down to keep the door from sliding. Like you do to secure sliding patio doors?

We bought these for our sliding closet doors. We have a 16 month old and he doesn't mess with them.
