We've been battling a sewer pipe clogging problem for a few months. Almost 600 dollars later the plumber (2nd one that came out) suggested that Charmin is to be blamed. He suggested switching to single ply Scott's. I did some internet research and turns out though Charmin is very soft on the bum it sucks at dissolving in water. Problematic when you have finicky plumbing, which we do. Sigh. I did some research and we're going to take the plumbers advice and switch to singly ply Scott's. Nothing to lose, right? But I also read that target up & up dissolves really great too.

Anyone else have toilet / sewer pipe clogs and toilet paper was to blame? What did you switch to and did it help?

Eta; we only flush toilet paper down the drain. And evidently we should be flushing then wipe then flushing.
