I have a really bad toothache but they can't get me in until Monday. I have tried Ibuprofen and LO's Orajel but not much luck. Are there any other ways I can ease the pain, until my appointment?

Glass of wine or a cocktail!
Or what about something like Anbesol to numb the area around the tooth?

Ibuprofen is the best. If its not cutting it I would try alternating with Tylenol and use the max strength. 800mg ibuprofen, 1000mg Tylenol every 3-4 hours, but don't exceed the max daily dosages.

When my tooth ached, I iced my jaw and that helped. Sorry it's hurting! That's no fun!

Argh! You have to wait until Monday!? Can they really not fit you in, or can you see another dentist? I can't imagine being in pain for another 4 days before seeing the doctor!

I would personally keep bugging them until they got me in sooner. I've always just gone in right away when I have had toothaches.

Try a warm salt water gargle to help flush out any bacteria.

@sunny: @Boogs: it's a new facility I've never been to, but our insurance only covers so many people. Plus they are getting me in at 8pm which is very convenient for DH and I's schedule. It really sucks though:/
