Oooo, I am in a rut with apps, so I'm interested to hear this, too.
- My Fitness Pal (I am kind of obsessed with tracking my calories right now and I love the bar-code scanner!)
- Fitbit (which tells My Fitness Pal how active I've been and adjusts my calories accordingly)
- Around Me (for finding restaurants/shops/whatever in an unfamiliar place)
- Camera+
- Facebook
I'm not on Instagram yet ... what am I missing?

@Mrs. Yoyo: I just like sharing pics with friends
there are a bunch of us HBers who follow each other. That's what I like about it. You could just as easily share pics on FB if you wish

I only have a few right now...
Facebook, ABC tracing for DS, Instagram, pandora and Realtor

I'm loving Instagram these days!
I use Diptic for collages. I would love a new camera app for better/faster pictures of LO.
grapefruit / 4049 posts
hmm, lately I've been loving Instagram, Pinterest, Flipboard, and My Fitness Pal. I also love the new Passbook app and have Sephora and Target apps for that!
If you're into games, I love the Zynga ones like Gems with Friends and Draw Something.

- Sparrow for mail, it's so much better than the native mail app, especially if you use Gmail
- Facebook (duh)
- Slice - I use this all the time to track different shipments of stuff I've ordered online, especially now that I'm ordering so much baby stuff.
- Mint for keeping track of finances
- Songza is awesome for creating preloaded playlists of music based on genre or activity (like, "cooking with friends" or "being creative")
OK sorry, can't do just 5. I also love:
- Craigslist+ because I've been fanatically stalking Craigslist for patio furniture lately
- Google Drive (since I use that on the computer, it's been indispensable to access our shared budget spreadsheet or my huge spreadsheet of daycare lists/nursery stuff/etc. on the go)
- Camera+ is an awesome photo editing app
- Koredoko shows you the date and time you took a picture, which I used to keep track of when all my self-took bump pictures were.
- For games, I love 10000000, Bejeweled, Flow, Tetris, Textropolis, and Words with Friends. I never thought I'd be a big "games on my phone" person but I totally am.

@NYCaliMama: I haven't tried Passbook yet, glad to hear you like it!
Also should add, Waze has been a passable maps app until Google Maps comes out with their own later this year. The native maps app in iO6 is just terrible.

@Coco Bee: http://flipboard.com/
it's a way to see/read the news, magazines, blogs and social media feeds all in one place. It's free. I've hooked up my google reader on there. since I'm always on my phone it's the only way I read it... don't get much computer time these days!

@ladyfingers: I looked up Koredoko but nothing came up. =( I would love a time stamping app.

@NYCaliMama: I'm confused on how the new passbook app works. what does it do?
grapefruit / 4049 posts
@coco bee: I was confused too at first. But basically you need apps that work with Passbook first. There's a category for it in the App Store. So I learned that Sephora works with it. I downloaded the Sephora app and now my rewards points is in passbook instead of on my keychain. And for Target, I got the app, signed up for mobile coupons and I add them to passbook so I don't have to print them out. Basically Passbook is like a digital wallet that keeps all your coupons, rewards cards, boarding passes, etc in one place. Should get better as more stores and companies go mobile with it.

@Mrs. Yoyo: okay I just downloaded Camera+ but I'm confused... how is it any different from the camera loaded on the phone already?
grapefruit / 4049 posts
@ladyfingers: oh haha, I don't know if I "like it, like it" yet, but I like that it's an option and I can potentially cut down on paper coupons and discount/rewards cards on my keys! I hope more places will come out with mobile coupons and apps that we can use with passbook. Only seems like a few for now...
I just got Waze too... Interesting how it works, still figuring it out! I think I'm in the minority, but I don't mind the Apple navigation just yet!

@runsyellowlites: Oh no! I just looked in the apps store and I don't see it either. That's so weird, I seriously downloaded it less than a month ago!
@NYCaliMama: I just don't like it because it takes me on crazy runaround routes instead of the ones that I know are simpler that Google Maps gives me!

Anyone else have budgeting apps? I like the idea of mint but I don't want to enter in my bank info...
clementine / 957 posts
@heatherlovesskenny I felt the same about Mint! Wells Fargo has a similar system already on it's online banking though, so we use that.
Instagram, Pinterest, My Google Reader, Twitter and FB are my main apps. I'm a boring phone user.. but then again, I am a droid user missing my old iPhone!! Pic apps aren't as good on the droid.
pomelo / 5331 posts
@HeatherlovesKenny: Our working budget is actually a spreadsheet I created and house on Google Drive, it's kind of a cheat but it works for us and is the easiest for having to do it manually. I just have to make sure to keep it updated, which can get confusing when it comes to all our miscellaneous expenses. Mint is just as secure as your bank's site/app, but what I don't love about it is it often miscategorizes things so I have to go in and change everything anyway.
