Who has been? Is it nice? Thinking about taking DD there on her third birthday. Wondering if it's worth double the travel time. Our other choice is a children's museum about an hour away. Which she has been to before. The aquarium will be about 2 hours. What else is nearby that will be fun for a toddler?

We used to have a membership, it is really cool, great moving walkway, water table and slides for kids,lots of interactive things for them. But apparently it gets mega crowded on a weekend so I wouldn't make the journey if you were planning on doing it then.

It's not terribly close to the aquarium, but the science center is great for toddlers. Can't get in the car without hearing about "going to science center!!"

I would also try to get there in the morning. It is crowded but a lot of fun - N loved it!

@Freckles: yup, if we go, we'll head out first thing in the morning. I always prefer to get to places at opening time. Then lunch so the girls nap afterwards in the car!
I think m will love seing all the fishes. But do much driving in one day and we just did it on Saturday!

We went last week on a Wednesday! It was fun! School trips and stuff were there, but we could easily get to the glass. The play area looked awesome. My son is too young to enjoy all of that part, but he did have fun!

We have been to the aquarium once and it was fun, hoping to go again soon.
