What age do you think is ideal for a toy kitchen?

Any time after 12 months, up to maybe 5 or 6 years? M got one for her first birthday. She started off by just opening and closing doors (and hiding my keys in the doors...) and now she bangs pots and pans around. I look forward to imaginative play with it.
