My son seems bored with his toys lately. A lot of them are musical and I don't think we have enough puzzle type toys. What is your older baby's fave toy right now? (LO is 10.5 mos).

Is your LO standing and cruising yet? That was a big factor in Charlie's enjoyment of toys around that age... whether or not he could cruise with it!

@mrbee: I did see these! Thanks : ) Yep, he's standing and cruising but not walking. His favorite toys right now are activity tables/cubes and have been for a month or so.

@winniebee: We recently did a toy swap with a friend with kids around Charlie and Olive's age... it was a big hit! And it didn't cost us anything... we just swapped 3 of the kids' favorite toys, and the novelty factor got everyone all excited.
Mrs. Stroller also posted about a neat toy rotation plan... that can make a big difference too when your LO gets bored of their toys!

@mrbee: I love all of the toys in that posting - but we are so limited on space, ugh! I think he would love a play kitchen or one of the doors! Thanks for redirecting me to the other post!

@winniebee: Do you have one of these? This has been my son's favorite toy for months now. He plays with it all day long. It's musical (also talking - shapes, colors, etc.), but since he can stand and use it, he plays with it way more than just a small musical toy.
He also really likes cars right now.

One of the most used toys we have is the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn kitchen. DD got it at 6 months and she still plays with it, and DS has been super into for a while.
DS also loves the Melissa and Doug shape sorter, balls, and cloth books.

It's $89 - but with a 20% coupon not terrible.. they played with it from around 6m when they could sit, to toddler years when we built it into a fort with couch cushions! so cool to crawl through the door into a tent

@winniebee: I saw it on the Today show around Christmas and knew I (I mean B) had to have it. B actually really likes it and it's really helped his hand/eye coordination. He also likes to play with the door on the side of it.

@winniebee: M LOVES her house #1 on this post: http://www.hellobee.com/2011/10/21/charlies-favorite-toys-12-months/. I bought it off craigslist for $35. She uses it as something to help her stand and walk around, she crawls through the door, plays with the cell phone, pushes buttons and plays with the different sections. She will sit on either side of it and play with balls the balls that go with it. She loves the music that plays when we drop the balls through it. My husband saw it as a "door" to a fort house when she gets older. I know it's kind of big but it really doesn't take up that much room. It's more long than anything else.
Do you have one room where all of his toys are?
