We bought this travel potty when Xander was potty training:

It has great reviews, but we never actually used it! At first, Xander would just refuse to go potty in a public rest room when we were out and about, so we kept all our outtings short. And when we'd go somewhere for longer, but less public (like grandparents' house), he would just use a regular toilet with some assistance from us. And when he finally was willing to use a public toilet, he no longer needed the travel potty!

He was also 2.5 when he trained, so not as young as your LO. Good luck!

@GoGoSnoGirl: This one is definitely small and light and portable. I took it with me when we went to Gymnastics a bunch, and it was easy to put on a regular toilet. I just couldn't get Xander to use it! But I think that was more his phobia of public restrooms than the potty seat.

We use the oxo travel potty. It functions the same way as the potette but looks nicer, in my opinion. We use plastic grocery bags with a paper towel in the bottom when using at as a stand-alone potty.

I looove the My Carry Potty. We keep it in our trunk and it has come in handy so many times.
