DS is 8 months. He is doing well napping in his crib, even while working through the 3 to 2 nap transition. His problem is night wakings.

He goes down in his crib between 7:30-8:30 after bedtime routine and a bottle. He doesn't do drowsy but awake well, but I have seen him grab his paci or change positions then go back to sleep on the monitor so I know he can self soothe a little. I'm not comfortable with CIO, and I need to sleep, so we bed share after his first wake up.

His first wake up is between 10:30-11:30. He normally goes back down in our bed with minimal nursing (he's basically day weaned) or his paci. He then wakes multiple times per night, sometimes needing a bottle to go back to sleep, sometimes not. He's been taking 2 bottles of formula at night because my supply is not enough to fill him up.

I tried to slowly cut down on the amount of formula in the bottles, hoping he would make up for it during the day. He eats his solids pretty well (BLW). It could be a coincidence but I swear he's waking up more since I cut down on the formula in his bottles at night. Could an 8 month old really need 8+ ounces overnight, or is this just a bad habit? TIA!
