I really like this idea! I feel like the intro posts often get lost in the shuffle of the board, so it's nice to sticky them so we can all see that someone new has joined and make them feel welcome.

Oh, I get it now. I did see an intro post stickied earlier in the week and I was confused by it. I thought it was an accidental sticky.
I think it's a good idea.
Though what happens if 5 people start intro posts? Will there be 5 stickied threads? I thought you didn't want a ton of stickied threads all at once.
Also, something I just thought of, do you ask the OP if they want their thread stickied? I'm a bit shy and like to avoid attention and might not want that. I know this site could be intimidating as a new user and for an introvert like me being stickied and up front could be scary. Though if you start an intro thread, maybe you want some

@bluestriped bee: if there were a bunch, we could maybe sticky them one at a time... or create one thread to sticky, and link to all 5 threads?
We can definitely unstick threads if requested! Or if someone mentions in their thread that they'd rather not be stickied.
