i'm also on cycle 3, cd 8. i've been charting and so far it looks likes my cycles are consistent. always O on CD14 with a 27day cycle. i'm kinda worried tho cause i do have a cyst on one side that i've had for awhile now (seems to be shrinking REALLY slow) and i don't know how that'll affect TTC. my chart looks pretty good though so it doesn't *seem* like it's affecting anything but u never know! i'll probably see a dr abt it if no baby after 6 months!

@CYNESWITH- Yes and no. Right now his platform he works on is going through so many changes its crazy. But that can be said with much of the Navy now. Anywho...the first 12 years of his career he never would have imagined having to go outside of the continental US due to what he does. More specifically his job and the squadrons he can go to are all in one place, where we are now. There is one other squadron where technically he can go and do a little different job but people who does what he does can go there. Well they are super low manned and are sending everyone and anyone who is due to rotate soon there. Its in Hawaii. Seeing as for the last 12 years its been nothing but up here for orders, plus with his DD being up here, we plan on staying up here once he retires. So last year we bought a house. Plus we have more animals than we would be allowed to take. In addition I have a good gov job here where I know I could not find one in HI. ALSO...the command he would go to if he is indeed forced to HI deploys on average 290 days a year, plus when you are home you basically are able to go at any min. So just weighing out everything...for as much as it would suck its more benificial to keep me here. Because he will be gone sooooo much there anyways, would not have to worry about what we would do with our cats/dogs, or about renting or selling the house. To give everything up for a few years just to come back in a few years. If it was some where IN the continental US it would be much more do-able. Just too many factors with it being in HI.

@Rescuemom10: I didn't realize (remember?) that he was Navy - I know their schedules tend to suck when it comes to family life. Ouch. You have whatever support from me that a random internet stranger can provide.

@CYNESWITH- Aw your so sweet thank you! I know we can make it work whatever happens. The first few years we were together were tough seeing as I was in that Navy then too. So we have made it through before. I just dont want to wait 4 more years to have a baby/s. Normally his deployement time is not TOO bad, or I was just use to it (gone 1/2 the year), but now with settling down this is the LAST command I would want him to go to. Like I said if it were anywhere else we would be fine. But he will be gone all the time and LUCKY to be home for 3 mos out of the year so its REALLY not worth us giving up what we have established for that. Really, really praying for some good luck and news the next couple of month. Poor DH is so stressed about it. Not that I am not. Heck this is the first time I have talked about it really to anyone but him. But I am just really trying to stay strong and posative and not worry about it until we have a reason to worry. Just hate not knowing!

@mrskc: yes - absolutely agree & feel the same. the month starts out soon good then i feel like i turn into a crazy person stalking these boards & google!
@Mrs Green Grass: good luck this month!! how's the clomid going so far? did you ever try soy isoflavones?
pomelo / 5628 posts
@hellobeeboston: Good luck to you too! I was going to reply, but the thread was already on the next page.
I have not tried anything on my own except for Royal Jelly...it seems innocuous enough.
But I responded well to the Clomid besides my lining...I took Estrogen for 3 days before O to thicken it.

YAY! I finally get to post on these threads! Hubby and I are officially TTC! So for us, it's Cycle 1. Very excited and hopeful!

Cycle #2 here... Calendar day 14 anticipating an O on day 20. We'll start bd'ing every other day tomorrow! Baby dust to all

2 dpo. this is going to be a looong 2WW. ha ha! I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high, and trying not to think about it (yea right). I'm glad I can talk about this on these boards with ladies that understand!

@MRSAPRICOT- Woohoo! Thats exciting! Best of luck!
I should O anytime now. We will see!!! CD 13
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsApricot: Yay! So exciting! I'm in the same boat as you, cycle 1 and excited to post on the TTC posts! What CD day are you? I'm curious if we're cycle twins. I'm on CD5 at the moment.
pomelo / 5628 posts
@MrsLilybugg: I tried that too this month and it mostly worked. My biggest rule - I didn't talk about myself on the boards i.e. no symptom talk etc. I still symptom-spotted in my brain because I can't turn it off, but not saying them out loud helped me pretend like I wasn't in the TWW kinda.
bananas / 9357 posts
@Mrs Green Grass: That's a good idea to not talk about your symptoms. I think I'll try that this month. Last month it started to become a joke between the hubs and I because every little thing could be an early pregnancy symptoms. This time I don't want to talk about it at all. But like you said, you can't stop your brain from thinking about it.

So we're in cycle three, 8 dpo - BFN. I think I might take a few months off if we don't succeed this cycle. My ILs are likely divorcing, and claiming that they're selling the house (a duplex in which we live!) and we are not ready to buy a house right now..and I don't want to pay double for rent someplace smaller (we're getting a steal here).
It's horrible timing..our plan was to stay here while I stayed home, and when I get a job to buy a house. I'm so bummed.
Part of me is hoping that if I am pregnant this month, it might encourage them to rethink this ridiculous argument they are having!
pear / 1650 posts
@Mrs Green Grass: I'm going to try that too! I talk my husband's EAR off about "maybe-symptoms", so I'll try to keep all the craziness in my head and pretend it isn't there

We are in cycle 6 with a positive OPK earlier this week. This is the second cycle trying the OPK. The previous 4 cycles I always felt like we "burned out" too early, so I thought that pinpointing O would give us a better chance to make BDing count.

I'm on cycle 3. BDing this week. Should ovulate any day now. I'm feeling good about it. *Fingers crossed*

I watch this thread like a hawk! Wishing everyone some luck! I just loving seeing someone post about a BFP! Best of luck ladies!!!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! I'm VERY excited. And a little scared, but mostly excited. Probably won't happen this month, since hubby and I have conflicting work schedules which will minimize time for BDing, but the point is we're officially TTC, so hopefully I won't be TOO disappointed if AF makes an appearance in a couple weeks.
@Adira: I'm a little ahead of you, then, so not quite cycle twins...cycle sisters maybe. LOL! I'm on CD 13 right now, usually ovulate around CD 11 or 12.

@sorrycharlie: oh no! I'm sorry to hear about your house dilemma. I really really hope this is your cycle so that they might (hopefully) delay their house-selling plan.

I'm on CD15 and hoping to ovulate in the next couple of days! I've been charting this month but no opks. It was just too hard for me to hold my pee and not drink as much because I run a lot and get wicked headaches if I'm not hydrated.
Hoping for BFPs for everyone!

I'm on CD20, waiting to O tomorrow (I O late-ish and have a 33 day cycle), c'mon already, there's only so much BD'ing I can do!
squash / 13764 posts
@sorrycharlie: I think they're known to give false positives moreso than other tests (I think the dye tends to bleed). But I'm hoping that it's a real positive for you, if that's what you're saying...?
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@hilsy85: this is cycle 3, so I've had a fair share of evaps (sigh!) but I'm honestly scared to death about this one. it's 9 dpo evening - I posted it here to see what other people thought, http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test-gallery/image.php?galleryid=12381 , what do you think? I don't want to get excited and then tomorrow have a negative again, haha! ><
squash / 13764 posts
@sorrycharlie: How long after you peed on the stick did that come up? I think the false positives tend to be after the 10 minute window. So if this is within the recommended time frame to read the test, then I think this might be it!!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@hilsy85: almost immediately! its been about 15 minutes now and it hasn't really changed - i can see it, barely, but its not likely it got super dark or anything like that..this is making me so anxious! ETA - nope, just did it..tomorrow FMU will be 10 dpo, definitely trying again!
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
sorrycharlie- Looks positive to me, but maybe try a different test tomorrow.. good luck!

I'm going to join! We officially started "NTNT" but really, doesn't that mean you're trying? We won't be charting or anything just yet.
So I guess we're cycle #1 and I'm on CD9. My cycles have been all over the map since going off the pill, from 35-58 days. Yikes.

It was my first month of charting after going off of BCP's. So, needless to say things may be out of wack and I'm not so sure I'm doing everything right.
According to Fertility Friend, I'm on CD 14 - 4 DPO. I OPK'd too late, so we only BD'd once during my fertile period. I also went out and purchased a new thermometer during the second week, so things could be a bit skewed.
Needless to say, I'm a bit dissapointed in myself. Live and Learn...

I got a BFP today on a digital after 2 faint on blue dye! So don't discount the blue dyes! I'm in shock still - good luck to everyone else testing soon!!
persimmon / 1202 posts
Sorrycharlie - YAY! I think you started trying about a week before I did?
Up until today (CD 10), I was SO unenthused about this month. Knowing that 60% of couples get pregnant by the end of my current cycle has me pre-bummed, since after this cycle, our odds don't really improve. But then, knowing that this'd be the WORST month for me to get pregnant makes me think it's more likely I will - hubby is due to deploy when this cycle's baby would be about a month old (would have neither a comfortable buffer period nor delay his deployment to the next date.)
I'm an optimistic pessimist - I assume the worst, and look for the positive in that.

Sorrycharlie - congrats!
I am still waiting for AF to show up, 9 months after having LO. It's really frustrating to know that we are not even in the game. Time is of the essence due to my age. This must be the only time ever that I have been keen for AF !
