Good idea @sslm!
Age/partner's age: Both 28
# cycles TTC: 1! This one is also our first!
Length of typical cycle: I don't really know, but I think before I went on BC, it was around 33 days... guess we'll find out!
Known issues: None that I know of but probably a long cycle.
Current CD: 15 and no O yet (that I know of...)
Words of wisdom? Don't have any yet... would love to hear some though.

Age/partner's age: I'm 26. DH is 32
# cycles TTC: 2nd since MC
Length of typical cycle: Not sure. Regulating since MC. I think it used to be around 28 days though. So far it's been 38 & 35 days and hoping this month is less.
Known issues: None that I know of
Current CD: 15 and expecting O this week... hopefully
Words of wisdom? Have fun! Try not to make it feel like a chore.

I'll play!
Age/partner's age: DH 31; ME: 30
# cycles TTC: Kind of our second...Wanted to try last month but had terrible timing due to the holidays.
Length of typical cycle: Exactly 31 days - O on CD16
currently CD 16...Looking forward to a fun night
Known issues: None ...fingers crossed that it stays that way!
Words of wisdom?: I like to eliminate a little pressure by not calling it Baby-dancing. Too clinical!
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
@Adira: @mrskc: @oliviaoblivia: Wow! We'd pretty much all be cycle twins if our cycles were the same length (damn you ridiculously long cycles!!!!)
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
Age/partner's age: I'm 23, DH is 22
# cycles TTC: 12...a full year.
Length of typical cycle: 33 days, with O around CD18
Known issues: I was told 'unexplained infertility' but I'm not really willing to accept that as a diagnosis.
Current CD: CD13 and not expecting O for a little while.
Words of wisdom? Don't try to control this process. It is OUT OF YOUR CONTROL. You can do anything and everything (or nothing) to help it along, but ultimately, its out of your hands. Something about knowing that just puts me at ease a little more.

Age/partner's age: I'm 24, DH is 26
# cycles TTC: 2 NTNT, 1 TTC
Length of typical cycle: 27-28 days
Known issues: None
Current CD: CD 2
Words of wisdom? I've been making sure to come up with reasons why it is a good thing we aren't pregnant yet (opportunity to save more money, attend a friend's wedding 9 months from now, etc.)
pear / 1616 posts
Age/partner's age: We're both 27
# cycles TTC: We're on our 3rd
Length of typical cycle: pretty consistently 27 days with O on CD14
Known issues: I have a complex hemorrhagic cyst that i've been told *shouldn't* affect getting pregnant but we'll see!
Current CD: CD19
Words of wisdom? I agree with redsmarties. we can't make ourselves get pregnant no matter how hard we want to, all we can do is try. so i guess knowing that, we should relax and try to enjoy this time that we have with our hubs. <and if you believe in God, know that God has His perfect timing for everything including this!> This is all stuff i'm trying to remind myself everyday!!

Fun idea!
Age/partner's age: I'm 26, DH is 28.
# cycles TTC: about 7? We've been trying since I had a chemical pregnancy in May. I should say trying/NTNT because some months we didn't time things as well as we could have.
Length of typical cycle: Lately they have been 31-32 days. .
Known issues: I have been dealing with spotting during my luteal phase ever since the early m/c. This month has been really good so far (knock on wood) because I'm 3-4 days from expecting AF and so far... no spotting! Of course, I could be having a super long cycle and I'll end up spotting anyway... But I'm trying to be positive over here.
Current CD: 28
Words of wisdom: *Try* not to become too consumed with this whole process. I've come to terms with the fact that this may take awhile. Enjoy life in the meantime!

Let's see.....
Age/partner's age: I'm 32, my husband is 39.
# cycles TTC: this is our 6th cycle
Length of typical cycle: About 28 days.
Known issues: Nothing yet that we know of. We're trying it on our own for 1, maybe 2 more cycles and then we're starting testing.
Current CD: 13
Words of wisdom: We can't fully control the process, all we can do it BD and then it's out of our hands! I have to remind myself that this isn't in my control or up to my 'timeline' so I'm working on relaxing. And YOGA!

Age/partner's age: I'm 29, DH is 28.
# cycles TTC: This is the fourth cycle since coming off BC (after nearly 13 years), but I didn't get AF until this cycle so I guess you could say #1?
Length of typical cycle: Not sure yet, but I'm sure they will be all over the place since I haven't been off BC for that long.
Known issues: Nothing that I know of. I guess you could say my body regulating since coming off BC.
Current CD: 24. 3DPO
Words of wisdom: If you are planning on TTC and are really serious about it, go off BC a few months before to let your body regulate. I was unable because I had to get some medications in order, but I really wish I had. It's hard not to get frustrated when your body isn't doing what you'd like it to do.
Like my mom says, try and enjoy the process and live in the moment because you will never be at this phase in your life again. I'm trying really hard to listen to her

Age/partner's age: 28, DH is 28
# cycles TTC: #12...yep, 1 whole year of TTC.
Length of typical cycle: 32-33 days
Known issues: "Unexplained infertility." But like @redsmarties, I refuse to accept that. All of my bloodwork is perfect, but I consistently spot during the LP each month that I'm not medicated. However, taking progesterone helps with the spotting, but not getting pregnant.
Current CD: 1. My temperature dot looks so lonely on FF. I'm coming off a failed IUI.
Words of wisdom: 1. Do not assume you'll be pregnant by xx. I did that all year, and every time that event, holiday, etc came and went, it was like ripping the wound open every time.
2. For those dealing with difficulty TTC - find a friend you can vent to and be totally open with about your feelings. This woman, (on hellobee and WB!) she knows who she is, has been invaluable to me.
nectarine / 2834 posts
one more piece of wisdom -
those of you who are concerned about not getting pregnant, talk to your doctor. I went before the "1 year mark" because of the spotting, and I actually apologized to the doctor for coming in early. Her response: If you don't advocate for yourself and your future child, who else will?

I'll join!
Age/partner's age: We're both 26
# cycles TTC: in cycle #4
Length of typical cycle: so far between 28 and 33 days
Known issues: None yet...I appear to be ovulating based on my temps.
Current CD: CD 7
Words of wisdom? Hmm...try to keep yourself distracted during the TWW! And try not to symptom spot (although I know it's SO hard not to)--because it just makes it more frustrating when AF shows up.
grapefruit / 4291 posts
I'll play
Age/partner's age: Me almost 30, DH almost 32
# cycles TTC: We're in the TWW of cycle ten but I came off BC twelve months ago
Length of typical cycle: 33 Days for the last four cycles
Known issues: None as of yet but I guess we'll find out if April rolls around and we're still not pregnant. I do have a maternal Aunt that had trouble getting and staying pregnent so it's always in the back of my mind...
Current CD: 29 and I o'd on CD 20/21
Words of wisdom: Call it tough love but sometimes ya just have to suck it up - whining won't get your pregnant!. And if you're concerned about TTC (at any point in the process) go and see somebody even if just to put your own mind at rest.
honeydew / 7235 posts
Age/partner's age: I'm 32(as of yesterday), dh is 35.
# cycles TTC: this is our 7th - ish, we were ntnt for a while
Length of typical cycle: usually 30-34 days
Current CD: 12... Hoping to O in the next 5-6 days
Words of wisdom? Hmmm, also trying to be patient and stay positive.... Trying to feel in tune with what's going on with my body --- and making this process fun and not a chore!!

I thought i would play too!
Age/partner's age: I'm 29, DH 32.
# cycles TTC: Going in to # 4, althought its been nearly 6 months since i stopped BC
Length of typical cycle: About 32 days.
Known issues: Nothing official but i am concerned about my long Luteal Phase. I seem to O on CD14 and AF takes another 17-18 days to come.
Current CD: 5
Words of wisdom: I'm working on "relaxing" this month too! And also trying to look forward to other things. It's my 30th birthday next month and DH is taking me on a cruise!

@sslm and HellobeeBoston: happy birthday! Boston- did you celebrate with a night out in town? Boston is really beautiful today!!
OK my turn:
Age/partner's age: I am 33, husband 34
# cycles TTC: 3rd cycle, going into 4th if I get AF this coming weekend (stay away!!)
Length of typical cycle: I thiiink 30 days.
Known issues: have spotting around O time. seeing doctor Jan 30th.
Current CD: 26
Words of wisdom? None. I am driving myself crazy. I need to step back and stop thinking up worst-case-scenarios in my head.

To all you girls with fabulous weather today - please get out and enjoy it for me. It's -14 here today with freezing rain, snow, slush and every other form of precipitation falling from the sky. I haven't seen the sun all day!

@arielle9510: This is my new mantra - try and enjoy the process and live in the moment because you will never be at this phase in your life again! I totally agree, I keep reminding myself that once we do get pregnant, it will never be just me and my husband so I need to enjoy it instead of wishing days away waiting to O, then the TWW, etc.
Thanks for reminding me

Age/partner's age: 26/25
# cycles TTC: 3
Length of typical cycle: 25-28 days?
Known issues: None, really. Heavy AF, history of seizures/tachycardia kind of concerning.
Current CD: 19
Words of wisdom: Symptom spotting leads to madness. I had EVERY symptom last cycle - was highly disappointed. I don't want to be pregnant this cycle (would be a single mom for about 7 months after week 1 of kid's life), so I didn't even really keep track of O this month, no symptom spotting, was notified that my optimal local job will soon be available and I have strong recommendations within the company (they have INSANE hours that probably wouldn't work with a move AND midwife appointments. Heck, it may not even work with married life.) I see myself getting that job, starting Feb 1, and finding out I'm pregnant on Feb 2.

@arielle9510: nice! We've got a little MA crew going on here! Redsmarties- I will enjoy weather for you;) while it lasts. We will probably trade soon haha

@MRS. VW- Glad my mom's advise inspired you! Now we just have to try to stick to it!

Hey guys. I know this is silly bc we're only cycle one but I'm feeling really down about my either lack of ovulation, or super long cycles. I just can't help but feel sad that we only get a chance to try every 46-58 days. It's just upsetting. Every cycle I'm hopeful that I'll ovulate sooner, and so far it's just not happening. I guess I just need to accept it and get through these first 6 months of trying and get to the specialist. Sorry for being such a downer. CD 20 and no signs of anything.
pear / 1965 posts
@SSLM- Its really hard and feels like time totally slows down when TTC. You know we are all here for you! "Things happen with time" is always much easier said than done and I know thats something just about everyone on here can relate to! ((HUGS))

@Rescuemom10: Thanks. I definitely need to relax. I'm thinking about booking a massage!

@SSLM- Don't feel bad. We've all had those moments of feeling down. I feel like I've been through such a roller coaster of emotions since starting TTC.
On a positive note my hubby brought me flowers today to make me feel better!

I wanna join in!
Age/partner's age: I'm 23, DH is 28
# cycles TTC: NTNT since august, this is #1 really TTC
Length of typical cycle: No idea, I've never been regular.
Known issues: PCOS, ugh
Current CD: 23, no O... probably another anovoulatory cycle
Words of wisdom? I can't think of much. i just try to keep hopeful without driving myself crazy with it, haha.
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
@tomatobee: welcome!! Sorry about your PCOS. I have long cycles too, and may not be ovulating. Have you talked to your doctor about it?
cherry / 220 posts
@SSLM- Did you recently come off of BC? I stopped in October and didn't get my first AF until this cycle so I totally know what you mean about long cycles!
I've been temping and there is a possibility I O'd last week, but it's not 100% and my temps aren't too high above cover line so I'm thinking I didn't and am in for another long cycle
Do you temp at all? I only started this cycle, but already feel like I've learned so much about my body and TTC. It may help to lessen the frustration a bit.
coffee bean / 36 posts
@sslm: thanks! and I'm sorry you have it those issues too. I have been to the doctor, she actually diagnosed me with it around 5 yras ago. I just started on metformin last month though so I'm hoping it helps.
