I have written this post 4 times and keep deleting it because I don't know how to word it best, but I really need some advice.

I've wanted to get LASIK for years and finally found out I was eligible, but the procedure I require takes 7+ recovery days during which I can't drive or work. I have a very busy work schedule now-May at which time we are going to Paris for my 30th birthday, immediately after which we want to start TTC.
I want to ask my boss if I can take the week off in early March to get the procedure, but when I do, he's going to ask why I don't wait until later in the year. Here's the catch, you can't have LASIK which you're pregnant, and and I can't imagine a time after I have a child that I can be laid up for 7+ days. So my choices are:
1) Ask for the time off in March and tell my boss that I have to do it then because of our TTC timeline (which will cause him minor freak-out)
2) Put off TTC until the fall because I will have to wait a few months after I get home from Paris to take another 7+ days off work for the LASIK and we couldn't TTC until after I've healed.
3) Put off the LASIK until my kids are old enough to fend for themselves - so 20+ years....

Sorry, I know I sound neurotic but there's not really anyone I can talk to about this except for DH and his standard answer is "do whatever you think is best".
