I have a tula. I like it, it's comfortable, easy to put on. They retain their value so you can sell it when you're done for close to what you paid, depending on condition and print. ( prints are only available for a limited time for the most part so people are always looking for older prints.)
The thing that I don't like about it as much compared to my other carrier is the hood is removable by snaps. Now that I can only back carry as I'm 30 weeks pregnant, I have a hard time getting the tula on my back with a good seat. My other carrier has a long hood that's attached so you can use that to pull up the panel and get a good seat. I 'think' that is why people get reach straps made for their tula? Not sure though.

Overall you should be pretty happy, they're a well made comfy carrier that has a pretty high weight limit on it ( 45 pounds I think?)

I wanted a tula because I saw someone wearing it, but I got the beco and I think it's just about the same.

As for the "tula in the wild"... I have no clue how to respond do that haha

I loooove my Tula. I have scoliosis and most carriers/wraps/slings kill my back. I can wear my toddler for hours in the Tula comfortably.

FWIW, I have seen lots of Tulas while out and about and no one has screamed "Tula in the wild" at me. I think it's so bizarre.

We bought a tula at 10 months when DS started getting too tall for the ergo and we both love the thing. We just bought the splash toddler tula and I can't wait to start using it. There aren't enough tulas in my area for the tula in the wild thing.

@MrsB2012: That is what the reach straps are for, accessories are sooo expensive though I haven't bought any

@MrsB2012: oh yea reach straps are to just pull up the hood, try just bouncing babe. Can you reach the top of the fabric at all? I've actually never had this issue so I'm no help =\

I have a toddler tula and have been stopped by several people asking what carrier it was, but I've never heard "tula in the wild" before!!

We were using a RS before the tula, which I liked too. The tula is very comfortable and easy to wear - and pretty too!

Can Tula be worn with an infant?

@bunnylove08: tula has a major cult following, it's crazy! I love reading all the posts on Tula Love haha! I have 3 Tulas (much to hubby's dismay) - a standard Keeghan's storm, a standard Happy Camper and a half standard blue slumbers (WC).

@jetsa: so exciting you got Splash! Did you get it in a standard or toddler?

Just curious, how much did your LO weigh when you started using a Tula toddler carrier? My 19 month old doesn't walk yet and weighs about 21-22 lbs right now....the Ergo hurts my back.

@autumnlove: I think they suggest your kiddo being in 2T pants length-wise to fit a toddler. My LO is 18 months, 22 lbs (he's pretty tiny) and I don't think he's anywhere close to a toddler yet!!

@autumnlove: 32 inches tall - my daughter was 32.5 inches at her doc appointment when we started using a toddler Tula and she just barely fit properly. A standard Kinderpack would be another great option (we have one of those too) as it is supposed to fit from about 8 months to 3 years. They are harder to find though (have to buy during a stocking or secondhand).

@californiadreams: they are totally different. They fit differently and the tula is so much more comfortable. We got the tula bc I felt our son had outgrown the ergo, my DH was skeptical to say the least. He completely agrees with the purchase now and we just purchased a toddler tula. It distributes the weight differently and has more padding. Ask you friend to try hers on and make sure you get a good seat and that you completely adjust the PFA's because otherwise baby can lean and it will not be comfortable. Also it's super easy to adjust DH and I have no problem sharing it

@californiadreams: I had the exact same thought when I got it in the mail and then tried it on and wasn't impressed. I took it in to the local babystore and realized his seat wasn't good and it wasn't adjusted correctly and that made all the difference. We love it lol

@jetsa: maybe in normal life I could reach the top fabric, but not at 30 weeks pregnant haha. Oh well, I have another carrier that I like better for back carries right now

@autumnlove: my daughter is 16 months and about 22 pounds and I find it really comfy. I've been using this carrier since she was about 5 monthe old

@QBbride: I know! I live in canada though and they don't ship over to canada. I liked aurora as well, the purples are so pretty

@MrsB2012: they don't ship to Canada (I live here too!) but I live pretty close to the border so I get it shipped there and pick it up in the States! Where do you live? I scored an Aurora for a mama in my baby wearing group!

@autumnlove: LO was about 24lbs. (not sure on height, maybe 32"?) when we started using the toddler tula. We didn't have one before then, so it wasn't like I was waiting for her to fit a certain height/weight. She definitely has *plenty* of room to grow into the toddler tula! haha, it's very comfy though, for both of us.

@QBbride: I set up a box to see if I could get it shipped there but I was too slow. I live in BC, you?
@autumnlove: I missed the part of the toddler part. We have a ways go to before she's in a toddler I think. However, if I was to buy one now, I would probably go for the toddler as it would last longer?

I LOOOOOVE my Tula. I'm planning on getting another soonish.
