So back when I wasn't pregnant, I thought it would be so cute to have a Mickey & Minnie themed nursery. DH is disney obsessed (he goes to Disney every 3 years with his friends) so I thought he would like it, too. I was wrong. He thinks its way overdone.
What does your twin nursery look like? Did you have a theme or pick certain colors?
Oh, I'm having b/g twins.
ETA: If you had b/g twins, did you have only one theme for both or did you have a different color/theme for each baby.

We did red and aqua for our b/g nursery. Walls were Aqua/Tiffany blue, curtains were red, and the crib bedding and art tied it all together. I don't havebthe pics on my phone but I'll try to find them tonight

I'd probably do a neutral color on the wall and then decorate two separate areas with the same things just in different colors. Something like this pic.
ETA: I don't have twins but if I did....

@Ajsmommy: At first, I was thinking of sticking with the blue and pink but I'm wondering if I should go against the grain and pick a different combo of colors. I don't necessarily think boys should wear blue and girls wear pink. My favorite color is blue.

@bluestriped bee: I agree.. I think I might switch it up too. I'd try to incorporate orange as one of the colors since it's my favorite. But I do think I'd maybe do the one color for each twin.... Maybe I'd do mint green and peach. Or orange and light blue..... ooooo the options! LOL

We didn't do anything theme-y. I just couldn't decide on a decor theme so we just did a light bluish color with art from a local artist on the walls. I scavenged most of the art from other places in our house and had some of it reframed. I figured the kids won't know the difference for some time, but I would be spending a ton of time in the nursery. So I wanted to make the nursery something that I liked. Someday when we do big kid rooms I want to go all out with a theme in something that they like or choose.

It's just a set but there are b/g twins on the tv show Blackish and I think it's really cute with the split wallpaper.

Not twins but we are sticking with the beach theme (Aqua/yellow, the room used to be yellow/gray) for our shared g/b room. Our room isn't heavily themed though. It matches but so far not like magazine worthy or anything. We like it though.

@Apex: I saw a gray and yellow twin nursery online and I'm sorta leaning towards it. DH has to approve but I like it so far.

No twins here but I love twin nurseries where the cribs are next to or back to back to each other! I think it's so sweet especially because they're used to being next to each other in the womb.

No twins, but DS and DD will share a room. The walls are gray and I"m doing coral and navy accents.

I've seen lion and lamb theme for b/g twins. Super cute but Christian overtones, so.it's not for everyone!
So many disney themes could work... I am also a Disney fanatic so I love this idea! Mickey /minnie, chip and dale, lilo and stitch, lady and the Tramp, so many cute ideas!

Just had to pop in to say congratulations on the b/g twins! I hadn't seen the news of the sex of your babies! So happy for you! I vote for gray and yellow. But I just love those colors. I also think I'd lean towards decorating the room in a way that you enjoy and find decor that makes each zone unique for the babies...like a letter for their names, or maybe a special blanket for each of them. That way you're not locked into anything color scheme-wise. Keep the room neutral, and then add splashes of color with the accessories.

I think Mickey and Minnie are a great idea. Or maybe Woody and Jessie? Maybe if he thinks M/M are over done, you can pick other Disney b/g characters?

Not a twin nursery, but I did red and grey for our current nursery for our girl. With elephants being the main attraction. It was really hard to find girly red things. But I love it. It's not over the top girl, but doesn't scream boy to me either. I think it's a neutral color. That's if you are looking for an alternative neutral with grey.

@bluestriped bee: I did a rock and roll theme. We were TG, so I needed super neutral. Grey walls, white trim/chair rail, and I framed a bunch of brightly colored record covers and rock and roll themed art work, like this (I don't have this exact one, but it gets the point across).

I think you could do Disney without it looking like the typical "overdone." These aren't from twin nurseries, but I think they could easily work for both genders.

I really like the idea of a gender neutral twin b/g nursery. Then you can pick whatever colours to decorate each crib.
The silhouette of the boy and girl playing around the giant tree is super cute!

I had two boys but did a gender neutral nursery which was blue, orange and yellow and somewhat adventure themed. It's not 100% done yet (in fact I have a large map print on its way) but I really like it.

@birdofafeather: I don't think so...I like nautical stuff but it doesn't hold any special meaning for us. I am thinking that we will just do colors, and then DS will prob have car sheets 
and DD will have some sort of flower pattern and the art will be neutral (ABCs, a quotation or two, photos, etc).

Not twins, but I'm a Disney but who felt like a Mickry theme was a bit overdone, so instead I themed it around Disney World! My oldest has a Tomorrowland/Future World theme that is gray with pops of bright colors, and my youngest has an Adventureland jungle/pirates theme. I love it! If we'd had a girl she would've had a Fantasyland theme.
