I was secretly hoping #2 would be twins, haha. But now that we're two and through, getting pregnant now with twins would be terrible!

Or maybe awesome??

We knew it was a very (scary) real possibility with this one because I had 3 mature eggs ovulate. But confirmed today that it is just one little bean in there. We were pretty terrified about the possibility...

I would have been thrilled if my second pregnancy was for twins!

Twins at any point would make me cry (NOT happy tears!).

I would be excited about having two at once but I would cry because it would wreak havoc on my body!

I would totally panic. We're currently contemplating having a second, and the financial logistics (especially and almost entirely related to the cost of childcare, here) are already a little overwhelming. I could have been on board with twins, the first time around, if ever.

Haha that's my best friend's family! Their parents had 2 daughters, and then got pregnant with their third - which turned out to be triplets!! So they have 5 daughters! The 2nd and "3rd" are only 13 months apart... so they had 4 daughters 13 months apart!!

I'm sure it was super difficult for them during the younger years, but looking at their family now... it is one big ball of fun. They just did an amazing job raising their daughters, and the sisters are all so close! I just went to a wedding this past weekend where they married off their last daughter. Amazing to see it all come full circle like that.

I honestly think I would be thrilled to be pregnant with twins! I think it'll be hard, but it only lasts for a little while.

I would be freaked out! I have trouble carrying one baby to term! I can't imagine how high risk I would be with twins. Plus, who would take care of my current kids if I was on bedrest?

@BandDmommy: let's just hope it never happens, so I don't have to worry about it!

I told my husband that is the only he is getting four kids - if #3 turns out to be twins. I'd be scared at first! But I guess I'd have to get used to the idea!

We've gone back and forth about having 3 or 4 so twins for our next pregnancy would solve that debate! I'd be excited... Stressed about the logistics of a riskier pregnancy and all that, but excited!

I would have been super happy if #2 had been twins (and I kept thinking it was for some reason). I would also be happy if #3 was, cause I'd really like 4 kids, but time is not on my side!

I'm secretly hoping that #3 is actually #3 and #4 with B/G twins! I really like having one of each right now, so I love to have B/G twins at this point. I have an u/s Friday, so time will tell! I know it is doubtful and there probably is only one in there, but there are some twin sets in both my family and DH's.

I would be simultaneously thrilled and terrified. I feel like we're going to have three kids eventually, so it would be awesome, but I'd almost certainly have to quit my job because three in daycare would be my entire salary.

I was a bit on the edge leading up to my first ultra sound with LO2. I had a vanishing twin with LO1, so I was keenly aware that it was possible.

@twodoghouse: My mom had twin boys, then two single babies, and she said that me and my other brother were just a BREEZE after the twins!

I will cry big, ugly tears if I find out I'm having twins this time. We are most certainly two and through, and it took 2.5 years to come to an agreement about even having a second!

@twodoghouse: My mother actually met someone the other day (a nice Australian woman on a plane :)) who had twins after two close in age singletons (12 months apart) and she said the twins were far and away easier. She said it was a lot more challenging with the two close in age but yet still far apart to require different schedules and food entirely - trying to breastfeed a newborn while a 12 month old runs around, trying to provide activities for a toddler while working around a busy nap schedule for a baby, etc. She said it was much easier having two on pretty much the same page - even with 2 older children!

I thought that was really interesting. I think it really just depends on the person and the situation probably!

If I can talk DH into having a second I would love it if it were twins. I want three now and he's unsure of even having number two. That would probably be the only way I could have three.

I would freak out. After losing a twin this pregnancy I don't think I could emotionally handle another twin pregnancy. If we ever do another embryo transfer I will think long and hard before transferring two.

Ummm..that happened to me. My son was 14 months old and i found out it was twins with my 2nd. There were all kinds of curse words coming out of my obs office. I actually saw the 2nd heart flutter before my doctor. She was laughing while i was freaking out. They arent home from the hospital but when i hold the both of them together my heart still freaks about having all 3 of them home together and only 17 months apart
