Girl you are going to be 1 month PP w a three year old on top of it?! Combine that shizz and rest assured they will NOT remember!

As the middle child I always got the shaft. So I say don't combine. If it's too much to plan two parties, I would go low key for your 3 year olds party since it seems like the party for baby 2 is a big deal.

I say combine if you want! You do not need extra stress right after having a baby. Later in life It will be easier to have separate parties for them.

My husband has a real complex around not feeling special after a lifetime of shared birthdays (he and both his siblings share a birth month), so I would avoid setting a precedent of shared parties.

I would combine, I mean seriously, pllanning both?! But have them one after the other. Some friends of ours did that recently for a christening/5th birthday and it worked out great. They just made sure that the older child had their separate cake/entertainment etc.

I would combine while they're young and don't really know any different and do separate as they get older and have their own friends

My husband always had combined bday parties for family with his sister and two cousins (all are April babies). Esp if all the guests are the same!

I would combine. Planning 2 parties while taking care of the little kid and a newborn sounds like too much trouble, plus you have no idea how you'll be feeling then!

Combine! The baby will likely sleep through it all. Besides, learning to share and understanding that resources are limited are valuable lessons.

I would combine, but if you do end up separating them I would definitely keep the birthday party veeerrry small and low-key (cake, beverages, close family and call it a day).

Does it have to be a party for the 3 year old? You could do something special (separately) for her birthday that's not a party..

Either combine them or just skip having a party for the three year old - I'm sure he'd be perfectly happy with a special dinner/presents/cake with just the four of you and maybe going out somewhere special (zoo? aquarium? indoor play place?) I don't think kids need a real party every year.

Combine. Similar situation, dd2 one month party would've been around dd1 2nd birthday. We combined and people totally supported the decision. Honestly at one month postpartum the last thing I wanted to do was host a party let alone 2!
Eta: I always had a joint party with my sister and loved it.

I would just have the one month party and do something else for the 3 year old closer to the birthday. Cake and ice cream with family and/or a special outing.
