Long post, looking for some help! My two year old had been sleeping through the night essentially for the last year, with maybe one night wakeup twice a month. For the last month or so her sleep has gone totally off track, sometimes with 4 night wakings. She'll have a stretch of a few days where she'll string full nights together but will return to the waking and it seems to be getting worse.

Can you sleep train a two year old again? We did CIO at around 15 months, which worked relatively easily for her. It doesn't seem to be working as well now but we haven't let her go a long time (15 mins+) or really committed to trying it.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience? Other things that might be relevant:

- She's probably teething, but seems to wake whether we given her meds or not
-we were away in July and I was tending to her more in the night, which may have sort of lined up with this sleep trouble
-when I go to her at night I pick her up and rock her for a few minutes, haven't tried just checking on her in the crib bc she goes ballistic
-could be nightmares? Sometimes she is hard to calm when I go in, but usually she's settles right when I pick her up
