@sslm: I am using digital OPK's daily. We know it's a bit of an expense but I'd like to know for sure and not have to guess. DH is totally supportive which makes it so much better. I'd use the cheaper OPK's but I don't think I'd be very good at reading them.
@Jumpingjacks: Thank you. I really appreciate that.
I felt really bad about really going in depth about how I've been feeling about it all because I didn't want to bring down the awesome that is this thread and all the happiness. But, I do feel better being able to talk about it.

@Crisark: that's what we are here for!!! PLEASE DO feel feel to vent and talk about frustrations, feelings, etc. We understand ad are here for you Gosh I think that if it weren't for these threads, my friends in RL would get sick of me!!! what about blogging too? I do a blog post once a cycle and getting everything out there at once is kind of therapeutic I hope it doesn't take another three months for you to get "normal" after Mirena. My cycles are still a little wonky and I've been off the pill since November.

Good morning ladies!! How is everyone today?

I'm 6 dpo and feeling ok. I think I'll be happy just to get AF in a weeks time at this point.

I think I might test on Sunday though!! I don't know if I can hold off until next Friday. Sunday would be 10 dpo...

    cantaloupe / 6397 posts

Oops, I'm actually 7 dpo! Whoot. Sunday would be 11 dpo... But I'm thinking I should hold off anyways.

I'm at 11 dpo. I O'd late, so probably won't test until the weekend. To be honest, I'm not really feeling it this month. Compared to other months, I've had almost no symptoms. Very minor momentary cramping and that's it. On the upside, increased vitamin b seems to have delayed pesky early spotting. So that makes me happy.

Hi all! 9dpo here. Friend reminded me to assume I'm not preggo instead of assuming I am, which was a good reality check. It's so hard with the symptom spotting.. went to a workout class this morning that I ALWAYS go to and could barely make it through.. was sweating like crazy and exhausted. Maybe just out of shape.. maybe test tomorrow but will TRY to hold out til the weekend. AF expected Tuesday. Hope everyone's weeks are going well!

I'm 6 dpo today. I almost POAS last night but knew that would definitely be too early. My rationale was: what if I O'ed earlier than I thought? ha ha. Tomorrow I get my CD20 blood work. And FSH. What kind of results am I hoping for with FSH? Is there some type of normal number range? I can look up test results online before I hear from my M.D.
@Jumpingjacks: I've heard a lot of stories about getting BFPs on months where there have been ZERO symptoms. Hmmmm

Morning ladies! I'm 9 DPO and couldn't resist after reading a thread yesterday about early detection starting at 9 DPO so I tested this morning. It was negative. A little discouraging, but I know it's also much too early. Then again, I'm not really feeling any symptoms either. But I'm also sick so that doesn't help. Hoping to see some BFP early next week! Sticky baby dust to you all!

@MrsLilybugg: I do have a blog (with like no followers lol) that I wrote about wedding things on. I suppose I could switch it up and vent about my trials and tribulations of TTC. That's not a bad idea at all.
I'm hoping to not take another 3 months (6 months total) to get back to normal. I am taking a One a Day for Women multi vitamin now daily in hopes that that may assist in making things healthier. I'm still consistanly losing 1lb a week thanks to My fitness Pal and my DH's support. Dr. said all of these things will assist in boosting chances. So, my goal is to roll with the punches and wait it out. Cause what else can I do really?
It's a mental thing at this point. I have to remind myself that I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. And this is no different.

@Crisark: good job on the weight loss! A pound a week is great!!!

@MrsLilybugg: Hi! Just curious, how long into TTC did you start needing to get bloodwork done? My LP has been short, but then again, I'm only 3 months off BCP. Wondering if anyone has recconmendations for how long to wait to get bloodwork done to test these types of things (progesterone level, etc.)? Thanks everyone.

  12. MrsLilybugg

    pear / 1650 posts

@eastcoaster: my GYN is amazing!! I saw her after three months of TTC with concerns and she ordered a thryoid check and a prolactin check. (I think high levels make it harder to conceive?) I think she ordered these after only three months because I expressed concerns of being 33 and not wanting to wait the typical year before being treated. Three months after that (so after 6 months) she is ordering the progesterone and FSH (follicle stimulating hormone to somehow measure egg health) tests. I hope this is helpful!

    pear / 1650 posts

@Crisark: you should totally convert to TTC!! And the post a link on your profile so I can follow you
Wow good job on losing 1 lb per week!!! I have been trying to lose these same 15 lbs for YEARS. I have lost my mojo. At one point, I lost 70 lbs. 20 have crept back on after moving in with my now hubby. I'll be happy with losing 15 of them. Or 5....

  14. eastcoaster

    olive / 73 posts

@MrsLilybugg: This is very helpful, thank you! My dr. actually ordered thyroid testing done before we started TTC and that was normal, not sure about prolactin though. I'm thinking I'll give it 3 months of trying and then give them a call to see if I can get some more tests done. Thanks for your info!

Bah, I guess I should also admit after reading threads about early detection I tested last night, 8dpo. I kept thinking why fight it since I'm expecting it to be BFN, which it was. Gosh my dirty little secret. I don't plan to test again til tomorrow (10dpo) and then again maybe on Saturday (12dpo). If it's BFN i'm already excited to squeeze in some hot yoga next week..

@eastcoaster: Yes, three months seems a reasonable time! I thought my gyn would laugh me out of the room but she didn't, ha ha

@JoJoGirl: Dang!!!!!!! Yes, I too will start wasting my pee tests starting thursday, ha ha.

And I love MFP and the iphone app. It's so nice to be able to track my foods and their data is awesome! DH has lost 17lbs and I've lost 7 so far.

@MrsLilybugg: Haha. So bad, huh? I decided when I left work "NO TESTING TIL AF IS LATE" and that lasted for like, an hour.

    pear / 1650 posts

@Crisark: YES! I am on my way to the gym during lunch break - but I'll check it out this afternoon. Can't wait! you guys are doing great with MFP. A very good friend also does that and she has lost 30 lbs!!! I have been doing weight watcher Points, but I haven't followed the rules. GAH!!! Where is my self control?!
@JoJoGirl: hahhahaahha as i was typing on another TTC board that I was holding out until 12 dpo to test, I already knew that it would NEVER happen.

  20. Crisark

    pomegranate / 3398 posts

@MrsLilybugg: I've struggled with going back to WW or staying on MFP. I did really well with WW before the wedding (lost 13lbs and 8 inches) but it's not exactly easy to figure out points all the time. Whereas, I can calculate calories without much trouble at all.

@JoJoGirl: @MrsLilybugg: It's okay ladies, I said I would at least wait till 10 DPO, but I buckled and tested this morning (9 DPO). Not going to lie, I'll probably test every day since AF is due to arrive this coming Wednesday. hehe

  22. Jumpingjacks

    apricot / 426 posts

@MrsLilybugg: Yes, I have thought that no symptoms might be a symptom too, but I'm trying hard to just concentrate on normal life, which is surprisingly easier to do when one has no symptoms!

  23. Jumpingjacks

    apricot / 426 posts

@eastcoaster: I asked my doctor and a midwife if they would test me for progesterone levels and neither will until 6 months. Very frustrating. I briefly considered to going to new doctor and lying to say it had been 6 months, but then thought that would not be so cool!!! I spot early ( 5- 8 days before AF), which makes me think I have low progesterone so I tried increasing my b vitamins (b6 and b12 specifically.) So far it has worked.

  24. Alivoo01

    wonderful olive / 19353 posts

@Jumpingjacks: I haven't displayed any pregnancy symptoms either after the first couple days following O, and it's driving me a lil crazy! That's awesome you are able to keep your cool. Bravo.

  25. Trailmix

    nectarine / 2152 posts

Maybe you guys can help me figure out why this happened: This morning I entered into the FF chart my temp (down .2, second day temp has decreased slightly and CM watery) and it adjusted my O date back a day, making me 8 DPO instead of 7...Then just now I checked CM and it was creamy, so I switched it on my chart and it put my O date back to the original day, so saying I was back to 7 DPO...Why did that happen? Is watery CM usually seen as a precursor to AF?? And which do you think I should put into the chart?

  26. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Trailmix: Hmm... I don't know about the CM thing, although presumably you're supposed to put the most fertile CM you see during the day in the chart, although I don't know why it would matter AFTER ovulation. Is your O day and coverline dotted? Maybe it was just guessing in the first place and its trying to figure out when it was based on CM now? Maybe CM goes from creamy to watery before AF? I don't really know though - mine is always just creamy after O until it dries up and AF shows up.

I am 8 DPO and having no symps at all. Not hopefully at all, but this is our first cycle so I wasn't really expecting anything. I have no idea when AF is going to show up so I am going to try and not test until the 15th. I have a lot going on this weekend, so that will help distract me.

Anyone know anyone that had no symps?

  29. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

Quick q, especially for ladies who had bfps (or have been around HB for a while and might know) - i feel really weird today. Cramps, back pain, fatigue. I was walking around feeling all hopeful that a BFP is coming this weekend, and it just hit me like a ton of bricks that this is exactly what my off-BC PMS symptoms felt like last month. Last month (first cycle off BC), my cramps were KILLER but just the day before AF arrived (I was on for 10 years so forgot what that was like). Do you guys hear of BFP symptoms being the same as AF symptoms around 9dpo?

I know how dumb this question is since it will answer itself in the next 4-5 days... but if AF arrives tomorrow, my cycle will have been like 24 days long and that will be a problem.

I should add that I was nauseous my entire TWW last month, so I think I'm pretty good at creating pregnancy symptoms all on my own

  30. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@JoJoGirl: Never had a BFP, but from what I understand, yes! Your symptoms can be caused by both impending AF OR from implantation and your body's hormones changing because of that! Many of the symptoms that signal a BFP in your future are identical to symptoms you might normally experience, and some people don't experience any symptoms at all. Cramps and fatigue could be caused by implantation and pregnancy, but it could also just be your body prepping for AF. Hopefully it's the former!

    pineapple / 12053 posts

@Trailmix: i would put your most fertile CM in FF.

and not to get your hopes up, but my creamy/watery CM was my only "symptom" that made me think i was KU. and i got my BFP. good luck!

  32. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@Adira: Thanks!! Amazing how crazy this makes us all - symptoms, no symptoms, AF-type symptoms... maybe someday they'll invent a 1dpo test

  33. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@JoJoGirl: haha, THAT would be awesome! Last cycle I had all the "right" symptoms. Cramping, fatigue, moodiness - everything that I hadn't experienced before! I was CONVINCED that I must be pregnant since I hadn't had any of those symptoms in previous cycles! But then AF showed up! So I'm going to try to ignore my body from now on since she apparently likes to trick me, haha. I've decided the symptoms are meaningless (at least for me). I hope yours prove more accurate for a BFP than mine did!

  34. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@Adira: Same with me last time, I was nauseous the whole time. So hard to ignore it but I know I have to. I should just scroll up but remind me where you are in your TWW again now?

  35. DillonLion

@Smurfette: I had no symptoms in the TWW the month we got our BFP. I had LOTS afterwards, and since, though!

  36. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@JoJoGirl: Oh, haha, I'm not in it. AF has already arrived and left for my May POAS plans. I'm CD 9 in cycle 5 at the moment. Just still stalking the May thread in case any of my POAS buddies see some BFP!

At least you're almost done your TWW! The TWW is the LONGEST wait EVER! You're over halfway there! I hope you get a good outcome at the end! And if at ALL possible, try to ignore your symptoms. They'll drive you insane!

  37. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@Adira: You are by far the most enthusiastic bpf-cheerleader EVER! Nice to see so much sunshine on these tww threads while most of us are so stressed out.

Am definitely doing my best to ignore them. I'm also trying to keep persepective on how early this is in the ttc process and I need to be patient. It's not even that I'm like, DYING to be preggo right away, most just I am terrible with suspense or uncertainty of any kind

  38. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@JoJoGirl: haha, you're sweet! I'm totally manic, you just haven't seen my other side yet! The first two weeks of my cycle before I ovulate, I'm super enthusiastic and excited for everyone and the possibilities! Then I ovulate and I'm in the TWW and I start freaking out and dreading the BFN! I also over-analyze ALL OF MY SYMPTOMS even though I KNOW that they don't mean anything!!! You'll see it soon enough. I expect to ovulate in one week, so there's, at most, 7 more days of normal Adira, and then crazy Adira will rear her ugly head!

I know what you mean though. My first three cycles, I actually didn't care if I got pregnant or not because I didn't actually WANT a November/December baby (although NOW I regret feeling that way, haha), but I was STILL freaking out during the TWW!! It's soooooo hard not too! I'm hoping that the longer this goes on, the less crazy I'll become... is that even possible?

  39. eastcoaster

    olive / 73 posts

@Adira: I agree with @JoJoGirl:, you're a great BFP cheerleader and it's nice to see your positivity when a lot of us are feeling stressed!

  40. Trailmix

    nectarine / 2152 posts

@adira, @jojogirl I totally feel you on the impatience and anxiety during the TWW, I am DYING right now!! I can't believe how obsessive I've become...I keep opening FF to my chart and just staring at it, hoping it magically give me some insight as to whether I'm KU or not...

Also, can I just say thank goodness for HB? I can't even imagine how much MORE crazy I'd be right now if I didn't have these threads to obsess over, so helpful!!

@birdsofafeather I know creamy CM can be a symptom, I stupidly didn't record my CM during the LP last cycle so I don't know if this is typical or not but hey, I'll take it I was cramping on and off all day yesterday, fairly mildly but very low down and deep 'inside', if that makes any sense...And this is totally TMI but I've been farting non-stop for about 4 days straight now! Gross, haha!!!
