soo, some good news for this thread I got my BFP today at 22DPO!!!!!
Super super excited!! My last two cycles both had a LP of 23 days, but after O'ing this time, my temps were higher than ever before hitting 98.6 a few times. So, I tested at 11DPO and 14DPO with two BFNs, and I waited a crazy 8 days to POAS and got an immediate two lines and of course took a second test right away just to check, and two lines again!!
Thanks so much to everyone for all of the encouragement. Lots of baby dust to everyone else!!!

@Emilie: congrats!! That is so wonderful! Wishing you a healthy, happy 9 months.
As for me, I'm just hanging out waiting to ovulate. We will be leaving on vacation Wednesday, and I could O anytime between Wed. and Sat. Since the first part of our vacation is with family, we may have to get a little creative to make sure we have a shot! Then, we'll be off on our own for another week. I'm hoping the vacation will make the TWW go faster than waiting to O has been going! :). Good luck to everyone testing this week!

@Mrs. Blue: we lived with my parents for 6 months and got pregnant while doing so - it's totally possible! just be quiet

@Emilie: 22DPO? That's wild!! Now, I'll have to think of you whenever I get a BFN at 14DPO. Congratulations!!!

@Emilie: Congratulations!!!! So excited for you!!!
@Mrs. Blue: hahaha, good luck! I'm sure you'll be able to figure out how to work around the family!
CD 16 today and I'm thinking I may have ovulated on CD 14 again like I did last time. We timed sex a LOT better this time around and I've been a lot less stressed, so I'm hopeful. We'll see what the temps look like tomorrow, but they are definitely on the rise.
My only concern is that we went camping over the weekend and it was really cold - could that affect my temps being low? I'm curious if my raised temps are really raised at all, or just more normal now that I'm not sleeping in the cold anymore. Anyone have a clue?

@lilteacherbee @Smurfette @photojane @Trailmix @kentuckygirl @mrsdoily @Arden @Leialou @sslm @Mrs. Blue - THANK YOU!!!
@Grace - I knowww... 22DPO sounds crazy!!
@Adira - I think your environment definitely will affect your temps, especially if it was really cold. But, overall if your temps are I think at least .2 degrees higher than your highest temp for the last 6 days, I think they count that as a raise?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Emilie: Thanks for the info! And good call about the six days - my temps were fairly low before camping (just a little lower during the camping days), so I definitely think my temps are on the rise!
I'm guessing I ovulated either CD 14 (Sunday) or CD 15 (yesterday), though I suspect FF will go with CD 14, when my temps were at their lowest (camping day). Hopefully our timing was good.
Do you gals think the 20% holds true for us? I've read that each month, you have a 20% chance of conceiving, and I read another statistic that said that if 100 couples are trying to conceive in a given month, only 20% of them will. I'm curious if that holds true for us. I hope not, because that would imply that only 4-5 of us will get pregnant this month... I hope that's not the case.
Although maybe a higher percentage of Hellobee ladies get pregnant each month because we're such a dense sample set of ladies trying. What do you all think?

@Adira: I think it can affect temps, but I would only worry about it if your temps haven't risen by much. Did you post your chart? I can't remember and posting from my phone is annoying.
I'm 8 dpo and what the heck is with my flat temps? They've been exactly the same for 3 days!!! Insight anyone?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@sslm: I've had that happen where my temps have been exactly the same for a few days in a row. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it continues. Then it might indicate that your thermometer is broken.
Here's my chart:

@Emilie: OMG! Congrats!!! 22 DPO?! Craziness. I agree that I hope you have broken the BFN curse for this month!
@Adira: I hope the 20% rule doesn't apply to us! Yikes.

@Emilie: OMG CONGRATS!
@Adira: @Alivoo01: I've heard that's true, or closer to 25%. That's your chance of getting pregnant each month (another way of looking at it), which is why most places won't do fertility testing or start worrying until you've been trying AT LEAST 6 months. You need 4 chances or so to even have a good shot, but it's not bad odds, really! 1 in 4!
Edit - and that's under the best circumstances, ie you're ovulating, time BD right, no other fertility issues, etc.

So I used a bbt adjuster and adjusted my Pre-o temps that were off my usual time. I'm liking my chart much more now, although I probably shouldn't have messed with it!!! Oh well, in the end I'm either pregnant or I'm not so it doesn't matter too much.

@Emilie: Congrats!!!!!!!
You give me hope cause I'm 16DPO and still have nothing but negatives and still no AF!
cherry / 144 posts
@Alivoo01 @JoJoGirl thank you!!
@Crisark - thanks!! I hope you get your BFP soon! 16DPO with no AF is a good sign - what's your normal LP?
@sslm - I definitely had a few of those days where temps were exactly the same, and I did a temp test with my thermometer near the outside of my mouth instead of under the tongue near the back just to test to see if it would read lower and it did. It proves that the thermometer isn't broken

@Emilie: "normal" is a relative word for me lol
I didn't use OPK's last cycle but my cycle length was 36 days.
This cycle I use digital OPK's and got a positive on CD 17. So, I'm working on a long one again I guess.

@Adira: I think the 20% does hold true. If you look at the Early May list, it looks like around 20% were BFP.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Grace: Yuck, that's kind of a bummer. So if there's 23 of us trying in June (or at least testing), only 4.6 (or 4 - 5) of us will get BFPs. Really puts things in perspective.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@Grace: @Adira: We already have 2 BFP and 17+ of us left to go vying for the last 3 BFP spots! Yikes! Let the Hunger (I mean pregnancy) Games begin and may the odds ever be in your favor...
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@Alivoo01: But that means 3 more people WILL get BFPs this month!! Which is awesome, vs. all BFNs
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@JoJoGirl: Great way to look at it! I am pulling for everyone left in June!!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@JoJoGirl: indeed, but it's crazy to think there's so many of us left and so few spots left! Baby dust to all and let's see who the next lucky tribute will be!
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
Hopefully we just blow the statistic out of the water!!! I want BFPs for all of us this month!

I don't think I'm going to be one of the three. I've been having cramps on and off today. They're starting to get strong.
