So I thought we should get a "POAS in June" thread going, since I'm not sure I qualify for the other "early June" thread. My POAS date is June 14.
This is our first cycle TTC, and we are so excited! I ordered OPK's but they aren't here yet, so to be safe we're going to try to BD every day from CD8 (tomorrow!) to CD14, even though I'm pretty sure I O on CD11.
So let's get this going! Who is POAS in the month of June?

I might be on here depending on when I O. The past 2 cycles its been CD35 and CD39. Today is CD23 and no O yet (although the OPKs are almost positive).

Great idea for starting a monthly POAS thread. I know it was tricky for some of us to figure out if we were considered late or early part of a month. I considered asking the OP of the late May to early June if we could include the rest of June but decided not to. Anyway, good idea!
I'm going to POAS June 7th.

Oh, heck yes, I want on this list! I never thought Ipee on a stick!! We are officially TTC starting at the beginning of June; we pulled the goalie already, but I'm pretty sure it was after my May O date. So, I'll be POAS sometime around June 27 if I can wait that long, which is highly unlikely with my baby obsession!
My 9-month old niece is at my house this weekend. She is the best baby! She just laughs all the time, and thinks her Auntie Blue is the coolest thing since sliced bread. My baby fever has not even been tempered by getting up with her at night and changing poopie diapers.

i bought a few pregnancy tests this past week, and i can finally take one on the 3rd! i should not have bought them so early, because i can barely take it. my period should be here on the 4th, so i'm thinking i'll probably take the first one on the 3rd.
we weren't officially ttc -- just not preventing it. but, now i feel like i could possibly be pregnanct, and i REALLY want to be! we went to a festival today, and i saw what seemed like hundreds of pregnant women. i was so jealous. i never want my period, but i think i'll cry if i get it this month.

@photojane - Thanks! Its definitely a rollercoaster ride...
As for when you should test, I'd highly recommend waiting until AF is late if you can, its much less disappointing that way if it doesn't work. I found myself in sad-limbo after my BFN on 12dpo, even though I knew I wasn't out yet. If you can't wait though, some people have gotten BFPs as early as 10dpo...

If so my OPK was positive on Saturday, so I probably O'd today. I'm sticking to my previous date of June 8 although that's probably a bit early.

@JoJoGirl: You aren't counting you O date as Sat? I'm planning on counting today as 2DPO. No point in guessing. If the digital OPK had smiley face on Sat that's my O date as far as I was concerned. Is that wrong?

@Crisark: That's part of why I asked how long after the smiley do you O - if it's 24-48 hrs (as you said), I Od either yesterday (Sunday) or today! So to be conservative about it, I'm saying today. I definitely didnt O Saturday or OPK would have been positive Thursday!

Well today was CD 8, so here we go!
Does anyone else use Pre-Seed? I need something, so I thought that would be our best bet.

@Arden: I have pre-seed but I don't usually need to use it each cycle. I do think it is the safer lubrication for TTC. I'm on cycle 7 but I think we have other issues that is the reason why we are still TTC.

@Arden: We use it. I am pretty dry so we almost always have to use something unfortunately. I only fill it up about half way, which I think it more then plenty.

@JoJoGirl: I was thinking about it and if you got the positive OPK Saturday morning like I did then Sunday morning would be the first 24hours and then Monday morning would be the 48hr mark. So, I'd say you'd be safe counting either Sunday or Monday as O date. Whichever you were more comfortable with.
I think I'm sticking with Sunday as O date since it was so early in the AM that I got my positive. So my 48 hr countdown started early on.
I just hope we are all lucky this month

I'm not sure how long my cycle will be so I may get AF earlier than that if this month isn't our month but we will deal with that then.
I'll still probably POAS before that but we'll see lol

@Adira - I sure hope not, because it would mean we all are! But totally get what you mean. I'm actually thinking of blocking the HB boards during my TWW so I think/stress about the whole thing less...

Although maybe now that it IS taking so long, I'll stop getting my hopes so high during the TWW. I know when I'm not feeling optimistic, the time goes by quicker, haha.

so i'm pretty sure that it will be no dice for me, as this is the very first month a pregnancy is even possible. we're not "actively trying," and i don't intend on charting my temps, doing opk's, or any of that stuff for a while... but does anyone have any tips or general rules of thumb for ttc? is there a certain day we should be trying more than others? is it a more is better kind of thing? any positions more likely to produce a pregnancy? i'm new at all of this.

@photojane - There are tons of theories, but it seems that the best advice is to just enjoy it and try not to stress over the details. My doctor told me that sex every other day is more effective than using OPKs. Not sure I believe her, but it sounds less stressful!

@photojane: We try to stick to BD every other day starting as soon as AF leaves and then when we get a positive OPK we BD that day and the next and then go back to every other.
Hoping that covers our bases. This is month 3. Cycle 2 of TTC after Mirena removal. *fingers crossed*

@Crisark: Yup, I agree, as i said I believe it was Sunday or Monday. I'm just saying Monday to be conservative so I try to avoid testing too soon. Also my OPK was closer to 2pm Saturday so maybe we Od 12 hours apart. Haha.
@MrsSomeone: Your doctor doesn't believe at all in OPKs?? Uh oh!!

@JoJoGirl - not exactly. I think she doesn't believe in in trying to pinpoint O exactly (since OPKs don't guarantee O), instead have sex "regularly" to cover your bases.

So my OPK's FINALLY arrived today, CD9. If I have 25 day cycles and I think I ovulate on the 11th, is it too late to start using the OPK's today to confirm? I guess I'm asking if they are worth using at this point.
And then, can I take an OPK on the 12th so that if I get a negative, we can stop BDing every day?
