@ladyfingers: The TWW is the WORST. And it's even harder when you feel like you did everything right!!!
Can you plan to do something fun over the weekend so you have something to look forward to and distract you? That's what I usually do! If I make plans with friends, I try to focus on that and then I get busy and forget (at least for a little while).

@Adira: Yeah, we're actually going down to Fort Lauderdale for the weekend, so maybe that will do the trick It doesn't help that I'm so tired for no apparent reason, and despite the fact that it's probably too early (and I was tired last week, too), my brain's going crazy. And the day is dragging, too.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@ladyfingers: That happened to me last cycle. Our timing was perfect and I felt fatigue early on in the TWW. I knew it was too early to tell, but it really had me convinced! It was soooooo hard to find things to distract myself with. Even when I was hanging out with friends, I was constantly thinking about it. I hope you are able to distract yourself better than I was and the TWW flies by!

@Adira: Thanks but I caved last night (at 11 DPO) and got a BFN. I didn't test this morning because I was discouraged. I don't think we had good timing this month so I am probably just going to wait and see if AF arrives. I am not sure when to expect AF but probably by Thursday. This is my first Clomid cycle and I am already at CD24, and I Od 2 days later, so based on my past LP, yeah, probably AF will be here Thursday I'll let you know for sure.
How are you ladies feeling right now about this cycle? Fingers crossed for all of you!!!

Aw @kentuckygirl I got all excited for you... You're not out till you're out so hopefully you'll have some good news here soon
And yes @Adria thank you for keeping on top of that list! It's so exciting!

@ladyfingers: Thanks! Yeah, the you're not out 'til AF shows is in the back of my mind too but honestly I'm trying not to be too hopeful so I won't be as disappointed. I had more phantom PG symptoms than ever which is why I caved last night and tested. Feeling like I've got to eat immediately pretty often, mild nausea, a little bit of sore boobs, exhaustion....it's crazy what my mind convinces my body of.

The wait is on. FF says I'm at 3 DPO and O'd at day 11...Here's where the anxiety sets in because now it's updated my estimated AF arrival to May 29th, which would give me a 19-day cycle (Ugh!). I know it's doing that because of my past two cycle's short luteal phases (7 and 8 days) but I'm really (really, really, really) hoping that it actually miscalculated when I O'd both times and that AF does (or does not) show up until at least June 1, making me LP 10 days long, which is on the lowest end of 'normal'...Gah, we'll see what happens!
The good news (I think? Maybe this is too much) is we BD'd every day from CD6 to CD 13, so all bases are covered in that department...
That just made me think, is is 'bad' to BD every single day and not every other day? I'm never sure which is the better route to go...
pomelo / 5331 posts
@Trailmix: IDK, I think (if I'm remembering correctly TCOYF and/or FF correctly) that BD'ing every day is just fine, and that they recommend dropping down to every other day in case it's taking a while, because if there are any sperm count issues, then every other day gives him a chance to replenish between bouts. We do every other day just because we get tired out easily!

@hergreenapples: Good luck in the TWW! Fingers crossed!
@Trailmix: Hope your LP is longer this time around!! You've definitely got your bases covered (and I think everyday is fine unless there are some male factor issues). Fingers crossed for you!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@Arden: Yay, good to see you here!
@kentuckygirl: I hope AF stays faaaaar away from you! I know its really hard not to symptom spot and get your hopes up.

Its CD 19 for me and I'm just waiting on O. Temps are still down and my OPKs have gotten my hopes up a few times (almost positives for a few days and then blatant negatives again). Even if I don't O for another 2 weeks, it will be the earliest so far, so here's hoping!
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
I'm not sure if I should rejoin this thread or start a new one! AF just left but my cycles are nuts so I'm not sure when I'll O. I think I'll be POAS at the end of June in a worst case scenario...

@Trailmix: I'm in the exact same boat - 3 dpo and a 10 day LP. We had sex every day from Thursday to Sunday. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Trailmix: @Rachel: Wow, I'm really impressed with the everyday BDs! Hubs and I managed literally one day in our window, haha. Last cycle we did three days in a row, but even that was hard! I'm thinking I'm going to have to go back to try every-other, because every day is just too much for us.
grapefruit / 4703 posts
@Adira: Haha 4 days was all we could do - on O +1 we were like, ok, that's good enough
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Rachel: haha, still, I'm impressed! This time, I tried to do O-1, O, and O+1, but we only managed to do the first one, haha (which actually might have ended up being O+1 anyway because I think I ovulated early). After that we were like "Ugh, get away from me." Maybe if I aim for every other, we'll have better chance of actually doing it, haha.

@kentuckygirl: Crossing my fingers for you that AF stays away!
@Trailmix: As pp's mentioned, there's nothing wrong with BD-ing every day. Doctors suggest every other day in order to allow the sperms to "regenerate and fully mature" prior to ejaculation again, but if there's nothing wrong with your guy, then every day is fine if y'all can keep up BD-ing every day - go for it!!
@sslm: Feel free to join this thread as I think a collective monthly POAS is easier!
@Adira: we BD every day for a week prior to O last month, but by the time O arrived, hubby and I were burnt out from all the dancing!

I am still waiting to O. But I have to say I am so jealous of everyone that gets to BD every day. Sucks that DH is gone Mon-Thurs for work every week. Going to make making a baby that much harder. Plus we miss on all the fun!!
nectarine / 2152 posts
@Adira Desperation can lead to amazing things, haha! Seriously, that was the longest stretch I think we've ever BD'd since college more than 6 years ago and it was hard! By last night, we were both like, 'alright, let's get this over with', haha! And I have to say, I am very much looking forward to just getting into bed tonight and just. going. to. SLEEP!
@Rachel Fun to have a waiting buddy, fingers crossed for you as well! We can overanalyze our non-existent and totally mental symptoms together
@lilteacherbee Hope you O soon, crazy how long your cycles have been, no fun
@ladyfingers Thanks for the reassurance on the BD every day...We're tired too, think next month we will start a few days later and maybe take a day off sometime in there too Fingers crossed for you!!!
@Alivooo1 Thanks for the re-assurance, I am such a mess when it comes to this stuff! I actually tried to convince my gyn to let us get a SA for DH right away because I wanted to be totally sure that there are no 'guy issues' but he was like, 'You've been trying for less than 2 months, let's not jump the gun here' hahaha...
@sslm The more the merrier, jump on this train!

Hi everyone! Today is CD 3 & I am getting ready to start Clomid tonight. I'm a little nervous because I haven't been feeling well this week & I've heard that the Clomid side effects are pretty nasty. Hopefully it'll work on the first try!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@PBandBaseball: I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! Good luck with Clomid!

@Adira: Thank you! I will definitely keep everyone posted on how it's going. We're going to Boston for the weekend, so hopefully it won't be terrible.

@lilteacherbee: Thank you! I really can't imagine it happening on the first try, nonetheless, I can't help but get my hopes up.

Hi all!! Just checking in. CD13. I have acupuncture tonight and think I'll suggest we start BDing tonight through Saturday. OPK was negative yesterday but I'm expecting it'll be positive today or tomorrow. I also gave up on temping after a week, too many weird things going on this week and my sleep schedule was CRAZY wonky so.. maybe next month if we don't BFP.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@Trailmix: Girl! I totally feel you on this whole baby making business being stressful! Funny how previously we're like OMG! let's try everything not to get pregnant, and when we do want to get pregnant, it's like wtf?! Why isn't it happening already????
@PBandBaseball: Crossing my fingers for you that you don't have crazy side effects with Clomid!
pomegranate / 3398 posts
CD14 here and had a negative OPK this am so I'm not sure when I'll O. I had a 36 day cycle last month so my thinking is it will be next week sometime.
pomelo / 5228 posts
Good morning! I'm at 10dpo today and trying not to drive myself crazy. Had my annual with my gyn yesterday, but BFN (too early anyway). I told her I was having some random cramping and nausea, and she started to lead me on that this could be it... I think I would've preferred her not to though, don't want to get my hopes up too high. Anyway, AF is supposedly due on Monday, so we'll see if I can hold out testing until then.
Also, my doc spoke about sex timing a bit. I told her I was temping and using OPKs and she said that "statistically" couples have better luck having sex every other day. But really, who has the energy for that? I'm happy using OPKs since I like knowing whats going on!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@Crisark: I have a 34 day cycle and expect to O on CD 18, but I'll probably start testing a couple days prior just to make sure.
pomegranate / 3398 posts
@Alivoo01: My iphone app has me O'ing next Friday which would be CD23 but I'm not sure about that. I'm happy using the digital OPK's cause then I know one way or another. We've still be BD'ing every other day since last Monday. I'm determined to cover my bases this month without a doubt lol
pomelo / 5331 posts
Oof, I'm totally psyching myself out. Have some random weird cramps today and some nausea earlier. But still, I'm only 5 dpo... which makes me think this is all in my head.
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@ladyfingers: Hang in there. It's so much easier to be waiting to O than in the TWW! I was CONVINCED during my first two TWWs that I was preggo, and was wrong both times. Just try to hang on!
pomelo / 5228 posts
@ladyfingers - I had both at 5dpo too, though I don't know my status yet either

I'm totally freaking out. Can't wait!!! Are any of you ladies on first cycle TTC, or are you all veterans?
