I like Corinne, Hollyn, Ainsley, Adelaide, Adalyn, Reese for unique names although several are gaining popularity. I also like some very basic names like Elizabeth and Cate.

When I was in French class, my favorite French name was always Coralie. I still love it - very pretty, unique, but not too hard for English speakers.

@SouthPaw: Funny you mention Cora. We have a breakfast restaurant chain called Chez Cora!

@MH.Abroad: Oh my I didn't even know! haha. Am I weird if I tend to look at disney Character for names. Like the fairies in Tinkerbell?

@zippylef: I love Lorelei but DH says no way!
Rilla (from Anne of Green Gables series), Corinne, Tessa, and Gemma are some of my favorites that we won't use because DH isn't really into any of them.

@tessabella76: I like Gemma, but it wouldn't fit nicely with our last names.

I love the name Auralie but my husband was afraid people would think we had named our daughter 'orally'. But if you live around lots of french speakers thats probably not as much of a problem

So I had a discussing with the hubs, and we finally have our top contenders for a girl and a boy. Yay!!!
Well we had a family brunch sunday and again they asked if we chose a name. We told them a few contenders and they all liked the name we "chose" (but didn't say we did) I wanted to test it out first.
I remember for Mavrick some loved it others hated it but we were really happy with our choice anyway. I'm so excited! yay!

I know yall have already decided on your top names but we should keep this thread going for other mommies to be!
My fiance and I both recently admitted our love for the name Millicent. It's so pretty. However.. I greatly dislike the nickname Millie and I don't know that we would be able to stop people from calling her that.

@Stosbet: I don't want to offend in any way, but when I read "Millicent" I was thinking "where have I heard that before?" And then it dawned on me--it actually makes me think of the "Sleeping Beauty" villainess named Maleficent.
