Starbucks- just why not go to a local coffee shop? Sports on television, any celebrity/pop culture, materialistic culture in general, fast food, suburbs, driving, tv, plastic surgery, a rush/pressure toward homeownership, Pottery Barn, Friends, Seinfeld, quantity over quality, buying things on credit.

I find Starbucks overrated, especially those holiday drinks.
Avocado makes me gag. My husband thinks I should be kicked out of California.
Don't really care about square footage; I prefer a smaller, cozy home. Easier to clean, keeps me from hoarding unnecessary stuff.
I absolutely love Easy Cheese, and only avoid it because it's made with 126 chemicals and Satan's tears.
I love scary movies and spooky stories.
We registered at Pottery Barn. Everything from bedding to dishes - the quality was so disappointing. I don't understand how they have repeat customers and remain super popular.

@Greentea: omg, this is great. I love Seinfeld but will sign up for every. other. thing.
Also I forgot: overpriced private colleges that produce graduates with bad grammar, destination bachelorette parties, and sweet wine.

I don't care about Game of Thrones or Harry Potter, to the chagrin of my husband. I don't get why anyone would care about designer clothes and other status symbols. I don't have a diamond engagement ring and I really don't care. I don't care for organized religion. I love dry red wine and strong coffee (no flavor or sugar).

I hate pie. I don't like the texture of fruit (almost all of them). I don't like fruits whole or in chunks (I will make smoothies)

I hate bacon and iced tea. Never liked Friends, the Office, or the Sopranos. No desire to see Star Wars, the Walking Dead, or Game of Thrones ever.

@MamaChin: I second Anne Hathaway. She is like the annoying teacher's pet.
I don't get the obsession with DMB. Store bought cakes and cupcakes are gross to me. The Bachelor - I watched it years ago when it was new.

@MamaChin: @Bluemasonjar: aw, she's my girl crush! And has been for longer than I can remember. Aside from those dorky Princess Diaries movies, I've loved her in everything. She's smart, and funny, and talented, and beautiful! Okay, stop gushing!!! She's definitely the teacher's pet of Hollywood. It doesn't bother me; I'm pretty sure I was a teacher's pet growing up, too. But definitely not annoying, at all!

@Reese: You are my soul sister. I dislike pie a lot. with the exception of pumpkin and lemon. Otherwise, ew.

@Greentea: driving? lol As in you don't do it or you don't enjoy it/weren't excited about getting your license?
pomelo / 5000 posts
@MamaChin: she's awful!
I never laugh at Chris Farley movies or Dumb and Dumber. Mockumentaries bore me. I took one sip of a Pumpkin Spice latte to see what the fuss was about and gagged. Most Starbucks drinks are sugary messes to me!
There are a bunch of local restaurants here people go gaga for, but I'm left shrugging my shoulders.

@DesertDreams88: OMG, are we allowed to talk about paleo yet, without being shunned from society?? I nearly had a goddamn nervous breakdown in 2011 or so, when it became freaking impossible to frequent any single solitary corner of the internet without being bombarded with meat-worshiping pseudo-science. It consumed my favorite blogs, none of which were supposed to be about stupid crazy diets. It took over everything. I even had to take a break even from Hellobee when there was a blog post about it and I was the only commenter in like 70+ replies who wasn't in love with it, and someone slammed me for using the word "fad" to describe it. Yeah maybe I have some pent-up feelings about this. But I'm a vegetarian for environmental reasons, and that stupid diet is so bad for the planet. Okay I'm done.
(I also think Starbucks is ridiculous and people are all suckers for paying $7 for a giant plastic cup full of chocolate milk.)

I live in Canada and could not care less about hockey. More specifically, I'm from Montreal and I am not a crazed Habs fan.

@.twist.: zomg! I've never met anyone else! Everyone always thinks I'm crazy! I can eat pumpkin, lemon and chocolate cream pies (does that count )

@MamaChin: Full on "Hatha Hater" over here, too! http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/entertainthis/2014/07/08/anne-hathaway-copies-emma-stone-andrew-garfield-hathahaters/77280540/
@PawPrints: Don't even get me started on Paleo. Massive eye roll! That, and Crossfit.
I'm an avid runner, but I hate yoga. I've tried a few different times and just can't get into it. People think I'm insane, and keep saying "oh, you just haven't found your perfect studio yet!" Nope. I just hate yoga!

Since we seem to be on the topic of food, I don't get what is so awesome about Chipotle. I'd take regular Mexican food any day.
I watched some Walking Dead and Game of Thrones with Dh, they were both just ok, definitely got bored of Game of Thrones. Couldn't even get through more than one of whats it called about the drugs... Breaking Bad! Haha.
I have, and like, a PC.
@.twist.: @Reese: agreed about the pie. I like almost all deserts but pie is just not worth the calories! Except for this one place: http://www.ilikepiebakeshop.com/ I like their meat pies. The desserts are ok too.

I agree with all the TV shows! Scandal, Breaking Bad, etc. don't appeal to me at all. Too much crazy for me.
Also, this may not be all that unpopular but I do not like expensive or formal clothes for my boys. I am a big believer in comfortable, inexpensive clothes for my little ones so they can be happy and feel free to play and get dirty. I even try to buy comfortable, affordable clothes for them to wear to our church, which is fairly formal. I have never bought either of my LOs clothes from the Gap, etc.

I think both The Princesses Bride and The Book of Mormon (musical) are incredibly stupid.

@LCTBQE: gah! I've always treated McDonalds like a public restroom and Starbucks falls into that category as well.
pomelo / 5678 posts
@Mrs. Sunshine: haha! No, I really mean it as connected to my distaste for suburbs- places where driving is made to be a necessity. Some suburbs have no sidewalks, you have to drive, etc. I prefer to walk!
pear / 1503 posts
@Mrs.Someone: Agreed, Princess Bride is so lame.
I also didn't like Breaking Bad. DH was obsessed with its for like a year, and binge-watched it. Same with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Trailer Park Boys. Also, any contemporary war movie, I don't care how many Oscars it's nominated for or wins. If it depicts the first Gulf War or later, I have no interest.

@PawPrints: I was in the bookstore yesterday and the entire cookbook section was paleo paleo paleo! So crazy. I'd expect the whole country to look like super fit cave people by now, but for some mysterious reason, it hasn't happened!

Peyton Manning, ugh I hate him.
College football, I just can't get into it. It's like peewee football to me. I feel like NFL is the only "real" football lol
Overpriced kids clothes/kids fashion. Maybe it's because I have a boy, but IDGAF what he's wearing as long as it's clean, stain free, doesn't have holes, kind of matches, and is sort of weather appropriate. Love Carter's and Target for kids clothes!
Instagram, how is this different from Facebook? I don't see the point, isn't everything posted to Facebook anyway?
pomelo / 5257 posts
Hmm, I actually LIKE fast food...sometimes I feel like on HB that's an unpopular opinion but pass me all the Big Macs!
Also most diet crazes -- dairy free, gluten free (unless you have medical reasons obviously), no carbs, etc. I think things that are so restrictive won't be sustainable in the end. I'm all about moderation (hence the occasional delicious Big Mac...lol)

@Applesandbananas: I post way more on IG than I do on FB because it's my safe space. I.E., my mom isn't on it.
Also, I hate Chipolte
honeydew / 7622 posts
@Applesandbananas: I am active on IG but not on FB. I like it because there has to be a photo. Less posturing, random articles etc. I like to joke that FB makes me dislike people I love. I find IG to be more in line with how I want to keep in touch.
pomegranate / 3350 posts
I have to agree with the Paleo thing. Cavemen lived to the ripe old age of what, 30? And we want to be like that because...why? All the other diets too and the Splenda, Stevia, etc. crazes.
I don't really get the meal subscription thing either. Or Three Up and those personal styling sites. They all just seem like a massive waste of money to me.

@MrsSCB: mmm fast food. I had Whatabutger for lunch yesterday.
I hate pumpkin spice.

Pumpkin anything - pie, candles, coffee, bread...I even don't like carving them. My husband thinks I'm crazy.
I also love the smell of gasoline and hate coffee, milk and avocado.

@2littlepumpkins: @Reese: @.twist.: I also hate pie!!! I love cake but pie is so gross to me.

I also really hate pie. Not worth eating most of the time for me. And most other fruit pastries/desserts fall into the same category.
I'm not into zombie things at all, and don't understand this obsession with the Walking Dead (hate it) or things like Pride and Prejudice and zombies.

This board is so fun to read!
I don't like:
Cake
Ranch dressing
Never watched the God Father
Never got into Hollister clothes (huge when I was in HS)

@hilsy85: I think it's the same (but what do I know, I'm a transplant). I think it's this whole area....super into the giant bagels. And I like bagels fine, but not so much that I want them at every single breakfast meeting...I guess for breakfast items, it's like #15 on the list in terms of my preferences. But people here LOVE them.

@deerylou: Pottery Barn is terrible quality, I agree. I don't know how they get away with it!

@Finfan: For real. At first, I thought I was just buying dud products, but I suppose I'm not alone!

Syrup. I only eat pancakes & waffles with butter. My husband thinks I'm crazy.
Also jelly/jam. I've never had a pb&j sandwich because I hate jelly.
