I was in Target today, waiting in line to pay, when LO starting wailing loudly. A woman walking by stopped and said "Mommy, can't you hear me? I need you to burp me. I have a gas bubble" LO was in his car seat in the carriage and did not have a gas bubble. He just tends to cry when the stroller/carriage/car stops moving. I said "He's fine. He just doesn't like to stop moving, but we'll be on our way in a minute." She still continued on saying "Pick me up, Mommy!" I just ignored her and paid for my stuff and left. How do you handle unsolicited advice? I was really annoyed!

Clearly you are a terrible mother who knows nothing about your own child. How dare you ignore that wise stranger who knew far better than you what he needed? >_< I'm so dreading this when the time comes. If anyone has any good snappy comebacks, I'd love to hear them.

I think I was even more annoyed by the fact that she was calling me Mommy as if she were speaking for my baby. I fumed about it the whole way home. Now I've just decided she's nuts.

So annoying.
I told some lady to mind her business when she told me it was too hot outside for DS and that he was getting a sunburn. She continued to say something about him not being able to speak for himself so i told her to f-off. I'm classy. It was 27 degrees out, DS had a hat on, lots of sunscreen and was hydrated. He didn't even get a tan, never mind a burn.

I really dislike people who talk like they are LO and tell me what to do. How do they (especially strangers) have any idea what she needs?!? That lady was very rude! And for her to keep at it after you said he was fine... move on lady!!
