I'm a sweet tea fan but my husband is unsweetened.
However, the sweet tea down south is too sweet for me!

It's sacrilege being from the south, but I prefer unsweetened tea. 5 years ago I would have said sweet, but I stopped drinking it to lose weight and now it's just too sweet. Sometimes I'll ask for half and half as a treat, though.

Unsweetened. I never even knew sweet tea was a thing until I was in college. Although it's probably just because no one in my family ever sweetened any drinks so that's what I was used to.

Unsweet for me. Sweet for DH. And if all they have is unsweet and the restaurant suggests that he just add sugar to his sweet tea, he'll probably never return. Adding sugar to unsweet tea right before drinking and actual brewed sweet tea are two very different things according to him.

I love this thread! In Canada the only option here is 'iced tea' which is soooo sweet and syrupy. I wish that we had unsweetened!!

I'm a southerner, so I prefer sweet tea. However, if the choice is bad sweet tea or unsweet, I'll always choose unsweet.

@bree72: I'm from the South and I prefer unsweet also!! Hubby LOVES sweet tea so when we're sharing a drink, we'll get half and half to compromise.

Unsweetened. I'm drinking my Iced Green Tea (Unsweetened) from Starbucks right now.
I don't sweeten hot tea either unless I'm going to add milk (like English Breakfast).
