LO has had phases where he is up for the day around430. We're in such a phase currently. It doesn't matter if we put him to bed earlier or later than his usual 630/7 bedtime- he still is just UP super early!!! Anyone else??? Tips?? Drugs?? Wine???

LO has gone through these phases. It sucks. We usually just leave her there until an acceptable waking time, hoping that she'll sleep some more. Of course, that only works if she's waking up happy at 4:30. Eventually, she'll go back to sleep and adjust her waking time.

Yeah he wakes crying all the time so it would mean CIO. Which we do use so I'm not against it! Just worried it won't work in this case? Hmm.

We had this issue and after letting her cry some days, on a whim I went in and told her it was still night night time and she need to lay down. Magically she laid down and went back to sleep. Cue shock. We had to do that for a little bit and only let her out of her crib at 6 (or whatever time you deem acceptable) and she's adjusted. Good luck!

@knittylady: LO is almost 2.5 and we've been through it 2-3x since her first birthday.

I started turning on white noise in my room and ignoring him unless he is crying. It took a day or two and he started sleeping until 6 again. This was after he finished teething though...before he was waking up because his meds were wearing off....once all the teeth were in he dodnt really need us at that time anymore but was waking up at habit.

@knittylady: I'm only on my first cup of coffee so forgot to hit reply. But in case you don't see, I think maybe 16 months? She's been good for a while now and is 19 months. I feel like I have no sense of time.

Ugh we went through this. I would just get up at 4:30 for the day. Hated it. It lasted a couple weeks. I just ignored her in there

our "phase" lasted from 5 months to about 13 months. i tried CIO for a while, then i tried nursing. when nursing stopped working, god help me i can't even remember what i did.

DS went through a phase similar to this too. Couldn't tell you how I survived, but I did. Hope it passes for you soon!

@knittylady: omg I could have written this exact post word for word! 4:30am every single morning!! A couple of mornings we were able to go in and tell her to lie back down, but we had to stay in the room, and ONCE she fell back asleep. I've tried everything.. bedtime as early as 6pm and as late as 8pm and she's always up at 4:30. Her naps also suck lately too. Ugh!! I know I just have to wait for it to pass, but it's taking forever and i think I might die from sleep deprivation.
