Hello Ladies hope you all are doing well!! its been a little bit since i have been on here but wanted to make an update, i just finished my first round of Clomid for the month of July and needless to say it did not work at all, i only went from .05 progesterone level to 0.24 progesterone level but at least it went up a little bit, I started provera last night and will take it for 10 days then get my period again, then i will do another round of clomid, The Re is just trying to get my progesterone levels up right now to see if the medicine will even work, so no ttc i guess, mainly because i dont want to miscarry, if clomid doesn't work this time, he is going to do a Endometrial Biopsy and run tests, even for cancer as well, so i am hoping this medication works, and if it doesn't at least i will have more answers but then again if i do have it done, i hope its nothing serious :/, i must say i have accomplished a lot in learning about my fertility this year,lots of ups and downs. All we can do is hope for the best and pray to God everything works out!

Do you ever read/comment on anyone else's posts here on HB? Totally just curious if you've gone through any of the boards or anything as you may find some people you could talk with/topics that interest you/etc.!

Have they considered putting you on progesterone as well as Clomid?
I agree with @ms.janedoe: you should join in some of the other conversations. There is a pretty big infertility community here. You could get a lot of support.

@Leialou: I tried the Cream with the clomid as well but the Doc thinks its to dangerous with both, plus the progesterone barley got me up as well, so gotta hope this works, i have talked here and there to a few people about it, it helps talking to women going threw the same issues, but then hard to talk about it sometimes.

@BrentLee88: I think @mr.bee: just meant that you can find a lot of support in different ways like blog posts and others' board posts/threads about their struggles as well! I've always found that it helps to read/share w others' journeys in addition to sharing my own story! good luck with your TTC journey!

@mrbee: I would but I can never find some threads that i relate too, its seems to me most of these women have been threw more then i have with fertility, just cause i just started my fertility journey this year, so some of the things they say i am new at, so i dont understand it as well.

@BrentLee88: I think that by participating in those threads, even though you're early in your journey, you will learn a lot and get more support. Also, building relationships is a mutual thing, so you need to offer support if you want the same.

I am sorry you are going down this road, but I am thinking that some things that I now know to be pretty standard are not happening for you.....clomid has nothing to do with progesterone, only if you ovulate......
I am curios as to why the biopsy so soon, have you had an HSG?
That checks to see if your tubes are clear.....
Clomid could be producing eggs for you, but if your tubes are clogged you can't ovulate....i.e. make the progesterone jump they are looking for....Can you ask as well to have an ultra sound to see if your eggs are even responding?
I just hate to see someone waste time, cause I know how hard you want a baby

I just re read my post.....let me clarify what I meant with "time wasted" I don't think you are wasting time, but one thing I have learned from IF and HB is some OBGYN ad RE will do bare minimum..........you have to be your biggest advocate!!!!!

i have no idea why i am doing another round of clomid and provera then if it doesn't make progesterone go up at all, all my RE has done is an ultra sound on my uterus and ovaries so far and i guess my ovaries are so far back they had a hard time finding them but no cyst he said, i am going to ask my Re why he hasnt done a HSG yet instead of jumping into the biopsy, i know he said he wants to be safe and make sure there is no cancer tissues down there right away. which scares the hell out of me, just because ovarian cancer runs in my family, His approach has takin things way different then what i have heard from other women, he is a great RE but i don't understand why he is doing it this way as well, thanks for letting me know! i am looking into it asap! i myself was scared if i didn't have a biopsy done just to be safe.. just because you never know. that or i have signs of different disease that is done by a biopsy.

@BrentLee88: if cancer runs in your family he might be playing the safe card and wants to rule that out ASAP, def ask about an HSG during your testing

@FaithFertility: I think he is 2 of my cousins had it and lost there lives to it, so that is most likely why he wants to do it soon, i will def ask about the HSG for sure!

@BrentLee88: Don't feel like you can't comment just because you haven't been through a ton of treatment yet. I have had a lot of treatments at this point, but started commenting on threads and asking questions even before I started clomid cycles. You should start checking in on the IF check-in threads to get started. It has helped me tremendously. Best of luck to you!

@BrentLee88: Good feedback here on how to get more out of the HB forums. I did want to say that I don't believe an endometrial biopsy will diagnose if you have ovarian cancer--it will diagnose endometrial cancer. I'm not positive about that since I'm not a doctor, but that hasn't been the experience of my friends who have been through ovarian cancer. Since you have family members who have had ovarian cancer, you should look into getting tumor marker blood tests done.
