I received an email today saying that APITP was taking immediate action to remove the offensive t-shirt from its stores and website, apologized to anyone who was unintentionally disappointed, and stated that APITP strives to celebrate pregnancy . . .
Props for immediate action (Looks like more than one graphic tee was removed)! Not too shabby!

Awesome. Companies make mistakes and glad to see they are not stubborn about admitting theirs. Those tees are better suited for an off beat retailer.

It's great that they responded so quickly, I heard it got national coverage yesterday after it exploded on Jezebel.
Now I'm thinking about all those kids in third world countries running around with "I miss my waistline" t-shirts. :\ I hope they recycle or something rather than donate (like sports teams do...etc)

SCREW THEM! I'm glad they did something but I'm still pissed off. Was there not one person with 2 brain cells to rub together in their PR department who tk didn't think "maybe this isn't super tasteful, especially since our entire market is comprised of pregnant women?"

@cupquakewalk - In their PR team's defense, I doubt they knew about it beforehand. I worked in fashion marketing for a long time and the buyers/designers don't always tip off marketing about what new products they'll be selling.
ETA: It doesn't excuse the buyers, though.

I was in two of their stores today and they were already pulled so kudos to them for at least moving quickly. Still absurd someone thought it was a good idea though.

@Alivoo01: Right? And LOL at them 'striving to celebrate pregnancy.' They didn't pull the shirts because they strive to celebrate pregnancy, they pulled the shirts because people were super angry about them, it was blowing up all over the internet, and was super bad publicity.
