We are looking to get a new bed and I love the look of upholstered beds (like those posted below), but I'm wondering if they are a nightmare to keep clean. Anyone have any experience?

We have one and love it! No problems cleaning but we've only had it for 3 months haha

We've had one over a year and haven't had to clean it yet...just a little dusting.

We have one from West Elm for a year now. Haven't had to clean other then dust.

We've had ours for about 4 years now. No problems. We don't eat in bed though!

I have one, but faux leather. The only cleaning it needs is dusting.

SO we have one and I actually hate it--DH has a habit of leaning his head against the headboard and it's created a discolored spot. I would never get another upholstered headboard!

We love our upholstered bed! Never had any issue cleaning it...

@hilsy85: This is what's deters me as well, even though I love the look of them in theory. I look at DH's pillow sometimes, and think "that's what would be on the headboard??".

@HILSY85 - Oh that is definitely something to consider! I don't think my hubby sits up and rests his head against the headboard without a pillow, but I'll have to pay attention now to see.
