Yes, we have one less than 5 minutes away. Our insurance waives the usual copay fee. It's convenient especially since we do not have primary care physicians.

I did have one bad experience with a different UC facility. The result was 2 cat scans, ultra sound and an ER stay for a reall no-big-deal-at-all issue.

Yes, just up the street! It's awesome, I go a lot. It's even better for us because it's our family doctor's office too. Sometimes she's the walk-in doctor

@bluestriped bee: Umm I don't know, they just have UC on top of their regular doctors... and on weekends the UC is only for patients of doctors at the practice, so that's kind of neat too. Also, as a patient there we can make "appointments" to be seen at UC. I love it.

The closest thing to us is the Target clinic. I go there for any sort of illnesses.

@bluestriped bee: I hadn't either! I know this one is fairly new. A friend of mine told me about it b/c she takes her boys there. I went for a UTI b/c all of a sudden, I started getting them after having DS. They were really quick and so much easier than going to my doctor. Plus, the pharmacy is right there! To be honest, I can't remember the last time I saw my PCP.

It's not really close but I went with a suspected kidney infection several months ago. I normally would have gone to my PCP but it was Saturday night and I didn't want to go to the ER. I was actually really impressed with how clean and high-tech it was.

We have several within ten miles of my house and t hey are building another. I went several times in the past couple years.

We have one in our area but it's limited hours... Seems a little bit of an oxymoron! BTW @scg00387: cute avatar!

The urgent cares around here are extensions of the hospitals so you'll get just about the same calibur of care if you went to one over the other (to a certain extent). We actually mostly go to urgent care for everything. Stitches, illness, blood work, etc. Besides being much closer to our house, we just prefer the environment there over the alternative. Obviously the hospital is our first choice in an emergency situation but urgent care gets the job done for the more day to day medical needs.
