It is next to none as far as swaddling goes. It's big and has a lot of stretch, but not too much. It's light, and it breathes well so it keeps the baby warm without overheating them.

My DH LOVED the blankets sooo much he actually wanted to get another set.

A+A blankets are the best for swaddling. 8 blankets are a good number because LO used to leak pee and poop out if his diaper all the time do I would have to do laundry all the time with only 4.

They are great for covering the stroller to shade LO from the sun but still allow good airflow.

When I fold it twice into a square, 4 layers of muslin makes a pretty warm blanket to keep LO warm in his car seat.

They are also really absorbent and I use it to wipe LO's drool when I forget to being a bib. I actually love them so much that I bought A+A bibs.

In the smll infant days we used then in all the ways @Coco Bee: mentioned! Now DS dirties several a week and he's 1+. It's his lovey. DD sleeps with hers daily at bed time and pre-school nap time and she's 4.

We registered for 4 and after birth and seeing how great they were, this one of of the first things we went back out to the store to buy another set.

- We used a clean one for swaddling each night
- We used a clean one to have on/around her during the day. A light cover up in the car seat, etc. She was an August baby, but in the cold a/c I still loved that these kept her covered but not hot.
- Nursing cover. I loved because I knew she could breath through it and it was thin enough I could tuck it in my bra strap to stay in place
- Play blanket when out and about
- Diaper changing blanket when needed.

So basically, we used up to 3 blankets per day assuming there was no blow out. 1 for around the house, 1 if we went out of the house (anything that went out with us was washed when we got home), and 1 for night.

Being first time parents, we didn't want to do laundry every day. We probably could have gotten away with just 4 and reused blankets more often and washed more often but whatever. She still likes the blankets now at 15 months.

A&As are the BEST blankets by far! Use them to swaddle, cover the changing pad, for sleeping, burp rags, for a nursing cover. They are awesome and you will definitely use the 8 you have.

We have about 12 (or more) of these and they have been super useful! I also go through about 2 a day - our son is always wrapped in one, and when we nurse I have it covering him and it ends up with milk on it.

I have also used them as a cover over his stroller and I will lay one or two down on the carpet for tummy time!

Haven't been in public too much nursing but will use as a nursing cover as well!

I do like them as a nursing cover, like PP I tuck into my strap.

That said, I prefer the 2 Gerber waffle-knit receiving blankets I have from when I was little! They sell a similar version for $6.99 at BRU.

I only have 4, and that's fine for us.

Got them this time around (a set of 4) and rarely use them. Our biggest use is stroller blanket, but we already have one by petunia pickle bottom.

We started out with 4 but ended up buying 4 more. We used them for all the same reasons listed above. I love these blankets. Seriously they are so versatile

LO is 2 1/2 days old and I've already used her A+A blankets to swaddle her several times, plus I've used them as her burp cloth, put below her to change her, and to wipe various spit ups. I love that they are so light, but big enough to swaddle her tightly. I'm still new to swaddling, but it's so big that it's quite tight.

We have about 12 normal receiving blankets and only 8 A&A. I have literally used the other brands ONLY when my a&a are dirty. I think I've only used 3 out of the 12 normal blankets we have. They SUCK in comparison.
