@shopaholic: @IcebergMom: This may be a dumb question, but are the sleep sacks for older babies, and the swaddle blankets for newborns or under 6 mos? I have the A&A blankets for swaddling, but I'm not sure what to do with a sleep sack....

@PrincessBaby: I'm assuming I'll swaddle LO until she can sleep in the sleep sack, thus why I ordered the size medium. It's just like a blanket they can't get tangled in. I think the A&A ones seem like a good thickness and warmth for SoCal and FL most of the year. Just my thoughts...

@PrincessBaby: I put my LO in a sleep sack as soon as she rolled over and i had to take her out of the swaddle (it was around the 5 month mark). Some put their LOs in sleep sacks much earlier, especially if the LOs never took to swaddling.

@shopaholic: @caffeinated: Oooooh, thank you! That is very helpful!

@PrincessBaby: I was wondering the same thing. After the baby is done being swaddled, don't they just sleep in a sleeper?

@PrincessBaby: yep! You got it. Once my LO started fighting the swaddle we put her in the sleep sack. Keeps her cozy since you can't put loose blankets in cribs with babies. She's still sleeping in her sleep sack at 16 months.

@Smurfette: where I live it's pretty chilly so I add the sleep sack to keep her extra cozy. Totally up to you!

@shopaholic: The mediums are quite big. I have my LO in a 0-6 month sleep sack (small) and she is 7 months old and 18lbs. She is not a small baby at all, and she'll probably be in it for another month? You don't want the sacks to be too big, or it'll twist quite a bit when they're moving around.
ETA: This is a stupid question, but the babysteals website says "3 layers" of muslin, but the A+A website is 4 layers. Could this be a different sleep sack they're selling? Just curious...

@IcebergMom: Gotcha ya. Thanks! I am in Atlanta so it does get cold but not super cold. Maybe I should go ahead and order a couple.

@caffeinated: thanks! Yeah, I figured I'd try the swaddle assuming she'd swaddle for a good 4-6 months hopefully? I also have those swaddlemes and halo sleep sacks for the earlier (colder months). Baby girl already has a good variety and I was just waiting for a deal on A&As or to get them at the baby shower. Lol!

@caffeinated: hmmm...that's weird. IDK, but I'll check once I get them! The prints I ordered are the exact same ones as the Amazon ones, not like the cheaper Target ones....

@Smurfette: Babies usually need one extra layer than adults, and we usually sleep with a blanket, right? The sleepers are fairly thin so i think the A+A sleep sack is a nice breathable layer for cooler nights. In fact, if it's warm i'd rather have them be in a onesie and the sleep sack.

@shopaholic: You are very prepared!! I'm assuming it's a typo so maybe i'll get another for LO. Yah, don't get the 1-layer A+A ones...they've gotten horrible reviews!

@caffeinated: that makes sense. I just worry she will get hot. I went ahead and ordered two since they were such a bargain.

@PrincessBaby: I used my AA blankets to swaddle until C was 6 months old and decided she was done being swaddled. Now we use Halo sleepsacks.

@caffeinated: So I just went to look at the ones on Amazon in the same two girl prints I ordered and their description is also 3-layers. I didn't know they had a lot of variations in layers, but I think 3 layers is fine for SoCal? If you want 4-layers only, I would hold off.
Here is the link to the same ones on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/aden-anais-Muslin-Sleeping-Medium/dp/B003UXGTC2/ref=br_it_dp_o_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=IVR3V716EGHN&coliid=I1KNHHMZEX3U55
