I'm not trying to get pregnant, but I've had UTI's before! Not fun at all. Just wanted to comment on that pill that makes your pee orange. That pill is a magic pill actually, it actually is for pain. It helps kind of numb your bladder, that way the urge to pee isn't as frequent. Plus it makes your pee an awesome color!!

No fears, I had a UTI literally 2 weeks before we conceived! I just finished the antibiotics a day or two before I ovulated, so you should be safe!
It sucks and it's painful, best advice take some OZO pills to help, they are lifesavers!!

I used to get terrible UTIs, but I'd have to take antibiotics to clear them. The orange pee pills didn't treat the infection.

I've never tried to conceive while suffering a UTI so I can't comment on that, but I can commiserate! UTI's suuuuuuck! I've had about ten now in the last three years (I'm prone to them or something...yay me) and I have to say that the first time was definitely the worst, because I let it go way too long before going to the doctor. Now every time I have to pee more frequently I obsess over whether or not I'm developing one (I've become a pro at the early symptoms).

When I picked up my meds the first time I had it I begged the staff at CVS to let me use the employee bathroom (gotta pee NOOOOOOWWWW) and I practically cried every time I had to 'go'. And at the doctors they made me freaking wait to do the pee test and I had stocked up on water because I was going so frequently, so yeah, nearly peed on the chairs in the waiting room.

@MrsBrewer: hahaha i was thinking the same thing about the glorious magic orange pee pills! i big pink fuzzy heart orange pee pills! prescription orange pee pills are the best, the ones at the drug store, azo, just give me orange projectile vomit =/

i'm so sorry about your UTI =( they are miserable! fortunately once you get on the antibiotics, you should start to feel better fairly soon. the first month i came off BC, we were camping, and i got a UTI that spread to my kidneys because i didn't get it treated soon enough, then i got my period & ended up non stop vomiting from the antibiotics they gave me. worst. camping. trip. EVER. and it poured the whole time.

as far as it impacting your chances of conceiving this month, i doubt it. i mean any time something is off in your body & your body is exerting its resources trying to fix the problem- illness, infection, etc, it's not an ideal environment, so it's probably not going to help, but i don't think your UTI would be enough of a trauma to really do much damage. do you know if you did in fact O? maybe if you're feeling up to it, BD tomorrow just incase your O was delayed because of your infection. hope you feel better soon & good luck at the dr on thursday!
