Nothing on that day because DH works late but we might go out on the 15th.

nothing... and will probably remain nothing. We just aren't into it and we are trying not to spend a lot of money on babysitters.

We'll probably see my parents since it's been a little over a month. It's my birthday too. I have a love/hate with the day.

I'll probably cook dinner at home. No way am I trying to get a babysitter on Valentine's day and all the restaurants switch to these dumb prix fixe menus!

Every other year we stay home and cook Steak au Poivre and chocolate souffle and watch a movie, but this year we are seeing Alton Brown!

We never celebrate on the 14th (too crazy, too expensive), so we are actually babysitting for some good friends! We're celebrating this Saturday with a nice dinner out at one of our faaaavorite restaurants. So excited!

We're actually having a playdate/brunch with another couple who have kids. We're going to bake cookies with our girls. Not very romantic but definitely a love-filled day.

@rachiecakes: We were planning on going to Frozen on Ice and having a Boston weekend, but holy $$$$$!!! We're going to Heros and Princesses on ice up here instead
and dinner out.

I think we're going to celebrate on the 13th (I hate going out to dinner on Vday). I'm taking the day off anyways for a doctor's appointment, so I think we'll do lunch and a movie.

We'll probably go to lunch and maybe to see a movie.

Nothing. I hate going out in the cold, and restaurants around here don't have much to offer. (Vegan). And I'm just lazy, lol.

Dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. Maybe a movie afterwards.

We would rather cook a really good dinner than go out on a holiday. But we do have President's day off that Monday so DS is getting sent to daycare and we'll head downtown to our old neighborhood to have lunch and hang around the old haunts.

Cook dinner together, make chocolate lava cakes and curl up to watch a movie with some popcorn!

Dh is in Australia. I might make heart shaped pizzas for dd and I, even though she's only 17 months and has no idea haha

We don't really celebrate it. I mean usually we'll get each other cards, maybe. And DH usually gets me some reese's eggs because they are my fav. But that is about the extent of it.

We never go out!! DH is taking LO on a lunch date. Then him and I will cook dinner, like always, once she goes to bed. And there will be wine!
grapefruit / 4089 posts
DH made a reservation at a restaurant that I love, which will be awesome because with my work schedule we don't get to eat out ever.

I think my husband's going to be out of town, so romantic dinner for one?
blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts
Probably dinner at home with Liam. Super romantic! Haha.

DH is supposed to be planning it this year so we will see, but often we stay home and make fondue! V day is the only time we do it - we don't Rly like eating out on v day but fondue feels like a special treat.

Dinner at a nice restaurant...slim pickings though because I waited until today to book it.

No idea. It hasn't come up yet. We don't make a big deal over it anymore. Maybe I'll just skating on the Rideau Canal here in Ottawa. It's the longest skating rink in the world (15+ km in both directions) and a unesco world heritage site, and also where I told him I loved him for the first time (Feb 2007). I won't be able to skate long or at all fast, but it might be nice, esp if I'm careful and hang onto DH. Note: I'm usually the stronger faster skater!

Just switched up our VDay plans. Originally, I booked us for a punting BYOB place and reserved seats at a farm to table restaurant. Now we're going to the farm to table restaurant on Friday. On Saturday we are going on a sunset kayak tour with a bonfire. The outdoor center is next to a fish restaurant that was featured on Diners, Drive ins and Dives, so that should be pretty fun too.

No idea. We were thinking of going out to eat all 4 of us but C doesn't like the car seat as much as big sister did so that probably won't happen now!

@sorrycharlie: Can you baby wear in the restaurant? We've only been to a bookstore with H, but I got him set up in the Ergo, shoved a cork/boob in his mouth, and he was pretty content. We did that a lot with E when I was going crazy sitting on my butt at home.
We have no plans, but we never really do. My birthday is at the end of January and I told DH that I'd rather he make a big deal of that than Valentines Day.

We're going to do our Valentines Day celebration on Friday. We're going to drive upstate to a bigger city and get our new laptop. While we're there we're going to spend the day up there and go out to eat, shop a little, and maybe go to a movie. We'll drop T off at the sitters for the day.
