We have reservations at our favorite *fancy* restaurant on the 13th. We plan to binge watch something & skip the crowds on the 14th (Sunday). I invited DH's BFF & his wife, so maybe dinner will be a fun foursome. I hate to see DH drink alone.

We can't find a sitter for valentines weekend, though we usually go to dinner a few nights before anyway. This year we are going a full week before. Saturday the 6th. Fancy new-ish restaurant. Will probably stroll around a little if weather isn't bad. Get coffee and then head home and watch a movie.
Actual V day we'll probably just binge Narcos or something new if we've finished it by then

Nothing so far...
I *might* consider having my mom come on Sat for us to have a lunch date. We rarely do dinner dates, and lunch that weekend hopefully will be less crazy.

We aren't doing anything... we decide to combine it with DH's birthday to have a fancier dinner.
Sorry to go off subject but a friend of mine told me once that the 13th was mistress day! I googled it http://gothamist.com/2009/01/30/february_14th_is_valentines_day_feb.php Maybe you think it's funny if not sorry! I thought I would mention it though.

We always celebrate Valentine's Day by going wine tasting over President's Day Weekend (this year they coincide). We're going to Santa Barbara for 3 days. Our plan is wine tasting, couple's massages, checking out the mission, dinners somewhere nice, and outlet shopping on the way home. I'm super excited.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: We try to chose a different destination each year and then go to a few different wineries in the area. This doesn't always work out so the years that we've stayed local, we'll just go to one winery and spend the afternoon there drinking, lunching, and lounging.

Usually we don't do much. This year we are celebrating my grandparents in laws 50th anniversary at a private dining room in a restaurant. That morning will be a huge extended family photo session.

We're going to the country club for dinner with DD and OH's parents. I know it's weird but really we are all really just going for the steak and lobster.. not romance!!

We're currently debating having a romantic weekend in Savannah. We were supposed to go next weekend, but my husband had something come up. But I hate dealing with the crowds on Valentine's, and rooms are more expensive, so we might end up bumping it until the following weekend.

If I'm smart I won't do anything. I always do too much for Valentine's Day. It's the same week as DH and DD's birthdays. The in laws come to visit for the double birthday. At the end of that time I feel so drained.

We're going to Costa Rica the weekend before (without LO) so just relaxing the weekend of Vday and spending time with LO. We're actually taking her to Peppa Pig Live on the 13th...so romantic!

We will probably buy a new movie we've been wanting to see and exchange small gifts (like chocolates lol). We hate going out to eat around Valentine's Day. So packed, crappy service, no thanks!

I think it's a dumb holiday so I'm working :). You couldn't pay me to go out ON Valentine's Day, and my birthday is just a few days later.

Well, on Valentine's Day I'll be at my grandmas 90th bday in another state and my husband will be home... First one in 12 years we won't be spending together but we're going out to a fancy dinner the next weekend!

Family is coming in town to meet DS the 13-17 so we'll go out to dinner (with him) on the 12th. As far as gifts, we bought ourselves a new fancy coffee pot! Haha. #old

@wrkbrk: haha, they are my favorite kind of day! We used to do it all the time before LO arrived. We stock up on redbox movies and order in food for the day. No cleaning or chores allowed.
