i called the daycare to see how LO was doing (especially with naps) and they said they hadn't put him down for a morning nap but they'll put him down after lunch...
he's been up since 6am and probably won't have his first nap until after 12noon (they didnt even try to put him down for a morning nap)
i just wished the daycare would do a better job with attempting to put my LO down for a nap

How old is he? LO had a difficult time adjusting to naps at daycare when she was younger. When she turned one and switched classrooms, it was so much better since they all nap at the same time.
I would be upset if he was young and they hadn't even attempted when you had instructed them on his nap needs.

I have this issue. I hate when R doesn't take a nap till 11. Yet on the weekends, an hour and half to 2 hours after waking up she is down for her 1st nap. I know there is so much going on, so she fights the nap. Then even if she is falling asleep playing or with a bottle, she fights it cause she hears everything else going on. So frustrating.
I can't wait till she moves up a room and everyone naps at the same time.

I have this issue too, but I know they've tried to put him down for naps and he just refuses to sleep. There's so much going on at daycare, that he's perfectly happy not napping as much as he usually does at home! It sucks because it usually means he has to go down for a nap as soon as he gets home, but I guess as long as he's happy there, I can't really complain.

@babynumber1: he's 10 months...i'm actually looking forward to when he does move to the infant 2 class because they have more structure with naps... funny thing is, we do leave instructions about his naps but it's like they ignore that (but they have no problem applying desitin when we put that in our instructions)

@Adira: yea, i can't complain either because he seems to be happy...i just want them to *try* to put him down for a nap... oh well~
