For those of you who have always had very regular periods (ie: 28 day cycles for the most part, both on and off BC), how long did it take for you to conceive? Did you (wrongly) assume that getting a BFP would be easy because you were so "regular"?

We did NTNP for three months and two months of TTC. I spent a lot of time on baby boards so I had zero expectations that it would happen for us immediately. I feel like that fact that we did it in 5 months really was quick and easy compared to some of the other women I've encountered who have struggled with infertility. I had extremely regular cycles my entire life.

When we decided to go off bc and NTNT, we got pregnant the second cycle off bc, and with twins no less. I have always had super regular periods but for some reason thought that it would take us a a while to conceive. I was sooo wrong lol.

I had very regular periods and I had been off the pill for a couple years when we started TTC. We got pregnant on the first try but quickly miscarried. We took a month off and then got pregnant on the first try again and I'm now 20 weeks along.

i had a regular 28-day cycle and had been off the pill for a year, and we got pregnant the first month ntnp. for the past year or so i kept track of periods in an app, just so i would know when to expect her arrival, and the app always gives an estimated ovulation date every month. we got busy around that day, but didn't temp/chart/test. almost two weeks later i got a bfp!

I have very regular periods, like clockwork. I always ovulate around CD12 and then start between CD24-26. We got our BFP on our 3rd cycle, but sadly miscarried at 20 wks. We are now on our first trying cycle post-MC. The miscarriage did lengthen my cycle by a few days, but my body regulated itself very quickly after our delivery. Hubby always felt we would have no problems conceiving and I thought it would be difficult. : / hopefully, our miscarriage was the only difficulty we will have.

I had very regular periods right away after going off BC so I thought I would have no problem getting pregnant quickly. However, after 7-8 months of trying, I went to the Dr. and found out that both DH and I actually do have issues. I have a blocked right fallopian tube and DH has male factor infertility. So even though I was ovulating and getting my period like clockwork, we were advised to go the IVF route. Not at all what I was expecting when we started TTC!

I have always been pretty regular, it took us 3 months to get our BFP. I was charting and temping though.

I have been off BC since January 2012, pregnant in March 2012, miscarried, and now still trying. Somewhat regular cycles. =/ I kinda figured we had issues though.

I have always had super regular periods. I was worried it would take a while to get pregnant bc I was on birth control for a long time and I also have thyroid issues (Graves disease). I wet off birth control in June 2010 to give my body a break before TTC...we started TTC in January 2011 and got pregnant the next month in February - I am so thankful it only took 2 cycles bc I am an older first time mom

Went of birth control in February and started trying asap got a bfp first cycle but miscarried at 7 weeks. Took six weeks after d&c for AF to arrive and waiting to O (CD21). I'm hoping and praying for my cycle to regulate and for next month to be our month. Before mc I had 32 day cycles with O on Cd17. Hopefully I'll go back to like clockwork again.

I've never been on BC and have clockwork 29 day cycles. We are on Cycle #15 TTC (13 months) and never dreamed that it would take this long. We're waiting to hit the 18-24 months before we head to the RE to see if we have other issues.
